can't get that glitch thing to work. how do you load files into wordpad, just like you'd open a document, then you save it again as soon as it finishes loading?
can't get that glitch thing to work. how do you load files into wordpad, just like you'd open a document, then you save it again as soon as it finishes loading?
Yup, right click, open with wordpad, save it in wordpad without changing anything yourself, then open the image again.
Tends to not work with jpgs. If you're using jpgs, try opening the jpg in photoshop, and while it's open in photoshop, open the jpg with notepad++ (because it's faster than windows notepad) and add some random line breaks and delete some text, etc, then save that then re-open the jpg in photoshop and photoshop will ask you if you want to update the currently open jpg with the changed one, it'll "force" photoshop into opening the corrupted jpg.
alright i got it to work, i opened the original in PS, saved it as bmp, opened the bmp in wordpad (with PS still open) then saved it, and re-opened it in PS with the original still up forcing the update. didn't look as cool as yours, but i'll keep trying.
Notepad++ trick works very well! only with jpg images though. thanks man
Woahdamn, this glitch thing is pretty cool
here's a photo of an eye

i'm gonna keep playing around with this, it's awesome
The notepad++ way stops a lot of those fine horizontal lines being made, I've found.
Just scroll below the header to random points in the text and add some line breaks or delete some lines.

Not really the camera meant for photography, but I still managed to snag a few shots overlooking San Angelo on my trip back home.

So, I found a Cannon EOS-650 at my house.. I wanted to get into Photography, and I enjoy playing with my parents Point-and-click. Would this be a good Starter camera?
tried out that glitch thing, turns out besides changing the picture it also changes the color of the windows viewer background

I really like the first one, did you get that effect in post?
I may sound stupid, but how are people getting that vintage filter look on their picture? Is it a filter on the lens or post processing?
I may sound stupid, but how are people getting that vintage filter look on their picture? Is it a filter on the lens or post processing?
It's mostly extremely delicate post processing, but the next biggest portion of it is choosing the right locations/lighting/shots to edit to achieve this effect. There's a few simple techniques that are easy to learn, but take time to fine tune. Cross processing can be done in either Lightroom or Photoshop and is easier in Lightroom, but Photoshop gives you more control. You can Google that one and there'll be plenty of written or video tutorials all over the net. Next is clipping and fading your blacks. If you go into Levels or Curves in Photoshop, adjust the blacks to be deeper and "clip" (dark parts such as shadows become completely black) while keeping the lights the same level as in the original. In Lightroom this can be done by just increasing the Blacks slider. Next in Photoshop go to the Exposure setting under Image>Edit and change the Offset slider tiny fractions, about 0.01 to 0.001 is a good range to work in, the subtler the better in my opinion. Next is colour adjustment. In Lightroom (I don't know how to do this in Photoshop), go the colours tab, and play around with adjusting the colours to achieve different palettes. Try using a reference photo of an effect (usually film or good processing) you want to replicate or replicate elements of, taken in similar surroundings and lighting conditions and adjust the hue, saturation and luminosity of each colour, try to focus on colours that appear in big blocks in both of your photos.
Let me know if that helped, I'm kind of rambling here :v:

I'm a little tentative about posting these since they're not creative or artistic in the slightest, so please forgive me. Fire spinning is fun as hell though, and photographing it is a joy. I just wish I had a faster lens and a tripod, and probably a more powerful flash, I could have gotten some much better shots :(

Skin's very pasty so I'm guessing you did a looot of noise-reduction. That's fine and dandy and all but some noise would actually compliment that picture quite nicely.
But I like his pose and the bokeh on the fence, car light and wheels.
