Just wondering if you guys could recommend the best quality cheap macro lens available? (for canon cameras). Money isn't really an issue, but you know how sometimes there's those cheaper gems that work out better than expensive lenses.

Tiny fraction of the price of a true macro lens and the results are brilliant! they have a hoya set of close up filters for $10 at the goodwill by me, they are 49mm thread though. but i'd recommend extension tubes, they get the job done, and no new lenses

Don't extension tubes cut out a lot of light though? Close up filters do a little but I heard tubes are worse.

i don't think they do, all they do is move the back element further from the focal plane. teleconverters cut light, but i don't believe tubes do. [editline]21st March 2012[/editline] oh it appears they do, up to 3 stops depending on how many tubes you use

You should try to blur the license plate or do something artistic with it, it sort of breaks the flow of the picture looking at the pixelated mess.

We have viking one or two viking graves, lots of viking named places. I supposedly magic TREE. Beaches, fishermen. Not exciting.
