Not sure if this is the right thread but whatever. Pictures are of a strip mine here in Germany and it's so big that even the biggest bucket-wheel excavators in the world (which have a length of about 240 metres and a height close to 100 metres) look like toys. Right, so this whole week was a week of nation-wide religious holidays, meaning lots of businesses, streets and whole parts of cities closing down for the traditional massive clusterfuck of a celebration. I didn't actually get to go trough the giant crowd getting around the Cathedral just a couple hundred meters from my house, but on my way home today I found these guys unintentionally parading with the worst possible costumes: We seriously didn't know! por sirwilbertthadeus, en Flickr Oh silly me it's just an old traditional costume. Should've done my research before going all :tinfoil:... Still funny.

@Trogdon Wow wow wow! Such a feel good photo. The reflections/shine on the jacket do it for me. Just lovely. @Inzalonus 2nd one feels really HDRish. But it works for that photo cause it really enhances that industrial work-feel. Interesting none-the less, the 3rd feels pretty out-worldy, dystopianish. I don't fancy the yellow halo around the tree canopies. But it probably can't be helped? Well I'm on school holidays once again and first thing first, my first model photoshoot with a friend! He needed some photos for his portfolio and well here's my favourite 3 shots from the day. I made a thing, three photos I merged together. Basis of real life comics, the city and a bit of perversion I guess. [editline]8th April 2012[/editline] You don't get the opportunity to look out the window everyday and see your neighbor doing something, cause sure as shit I never lived in an apartment back then. Hotels and high rises was where I was at, at first I was taking some long exposures, then start zooming in. Fuck it's a whole different feel. At first I didn't know what it was through the viewfinder, but when I zoomed in... fuckin shit man.
@Trogdon Wow wow wow! Such a feel good photo. The reflections/shine on the jacket do it for me. Just lovely.
thank you so much, i really dug the reflections too! literally took so many tries to compose that shot, i would always have my foot slightly out of frame or my pose looked awkward. and the coyotes were being loud sometimes so i was getting a little freaked out haha
My doctor said I need to spend some more time in the sunlight, so I decided to start my hobby as a professional back-garden picture taker! Let's see how I do... The B&W isn't doing anything for me. The first one is nice.
I'd quite like to see water and swag in colour too if you don't mind as they're good shots.
I think Swag works really well in B&W.
I just try to shoot mostly in B&W to keep my photos looking consistent, but for anyone who's interested in colour: Swag Color by Kristian Carreon, on Flickr Water Color by Kristian Carreon, on Flickr

welp, summer is heading this way, so i'd much rather use color over b&w. as for now, this is the last black and white picture i take for a few weeks.

Took a picture of my boyfriend while he was in the shower, thought the light looked really good since the fogged window turned into a softbox, especially on his eyes.
Dem colours I really don't know which I prefer - which is a sign that they're brilliant photo's.
Personally I find that color works best mainly because it's a thing in life I like taking advantage of. Seeing color is literally the coolest fucking thing about being alive to me. [editline]7th April 2012[/editline] However, an exception would be in the city where it just matches the life and correctly captures the essence.
