I'm learning very quickly it only handles well in certain lighting conditions. At those times, it's actually really nice, but at others, it whacks out completely.

Umm if I may, the pictures look like you're taking them just because... As if there's no effort into defining your subject.

Try a more interesting angle, apply different light sources. Placing it in a better background or setting would make for good juxtaposition.

Also the little phone with headphones makes it look messy; it kind of takes away from what you were focusing on.

Umm resize your pictures too please.

Had a shot at club photography the other night, I have no flash gun though so had to make do with the pop-up flash (with great frustration).
Having a 45mm equiv focal length also made it a little difficult:

the shots technically look pretty sweet imo, but i reckon you need to work more on getting the best possible expressions out of people (that's the part you can't control, usually making it the hardest).

Thats a good shout actually, i did try it when experimenting with the shots but i preferred the full frame shot after looking at them in PP :) cheers for the input man :)
