You need adobe camera raw, Adobe's plugin for handling raw files for either Photoshop or lightroom. It should come pre-installed with the program though. Try going to the update menu or launch adobe's update manager and see if it lists adobe camera raw and update to it. I'm still too stupid to get my head around doing things any differently than I have done. Why do you use lightroom for the raws but then move into photoshop? Is it just the ease of use? Or are there any other benefits that you find that lightroom does better than photoshop?

After ridding of the crazy bitch I had the pleasure of calling my gf, I went on a date with a sane girl in Leicester square yesterday, took a few snaps on the way back but wasn't really pleased with any of them. The main probablem I have with street photography is that I'm scared to get close enough and take the pictures from the front and not their back.

Nah, it's good, don't think a closer shot would have made it look better. I think most of us can agree that street photography and spontaneous pictures of strangers are one of the hardest things to do in photography.

I think it's just about being respectful. If you take a photo of someone homeless or begging, don't get right up in their face as if you're taking advantage of them, it's one thing to capture it but it's a completely different thing to actually exploit them for your own creative edge.. Also, i'd give them some money just as a sign of respect, maybe even have a chat with them, but I don't know because I havn't really even taken a photo of someone begging before, and i'm naturally a bit awkward in new situations
