This picture that you projected onto the wall. Did you took it in Australia?
its a camera obscure, the image projected is a 'live feed' from the outside of the window
After ridding of the crazy bitch I had the pleasure of calling my gf, I went on a date with a sane girl in Leicester square yesterday, took a few snaps on the way back but wasn't really pleased with any of them.

Couldn't find any parking spots so I had to find a back alley to park my bike in, yet I still got ticketed, the picture shows how out of the way my bike was.
Worse, I got a bigger fine for parking it out of the way on the sidewalk, than had I parked it obstructing the road. Basically got the same fine for if I parked a fucking car in the middle of a busy pedestrian walkway. As
I'm sorry but I absolutely hate it when people take pictures of homeless people or extremely poor people. It just feels so.. wrong. I understand photo journalism and all but taking pictures of people at their lowest without the intent to use the image in a way that would help doesn't seem right. It isn't getting a message out about helping the homeless, it just seems like it is exploiting them for an "interesting" shot. Not talking entirely about yours, Hazard, more this type of picture in general.
I just can't approach these street beggars, I once did and the guy told me his whole life in a few phrases and I walked away depressed.
There's this really awesome homeless dude right outside of base here in Okinawa. Every time one of us Marines goes up to him he says, "Fuck the CO (Commanding officer)" and then salutes with his middle finger.
He's a fucking bad ass.
And now we know why he's homeless

Fix the blueish tone and perhaps add some vignette to stop the bottom being so distracting and you have a great shot. Maybe it would be worth experimenting with the crop too.
I think it looks perfect the way it is honestly.
So I went out to take pictures:

everything you just described would change it from being an awesome shot to a really average shot of a tree
also, why is it so fucking rare to see "professional" portraiture done correctly? i've people spend hundreds on portraits with a black backdrop and a one point lighting source. or how about some random, super distracting location on a sunny day with the sun behind the subject? that shit flat-out amazes me.

I've been experimenting with various settings on my camera.
Using built in filters, they actually look decent
[t]http://puu.sh/twGu[/t]
Attempting the automatic mode. I normally have it on Aperture Priority.
[t]http://puu.sh/twJr[/t]
And attempting to use manual focus.
This was zoomed in from about 100 feet away.

Sorry about the puush quality on these.

Okay, but what's wrong with .png?
png's are very large file sizes, and artifacting is generally not present in photos because of diverse colors

In the first photograph, you've made your subject clear and it looks nice with the blown out sky and glow around the edges of the pillars. I can't help but feel cramped however, with how close and cut off the table and chairs in the foreground are. The white balance has gave the image a light red/pinkish tone which you can edit easily. Think carefully about objects you are cutting off, and whether they detract from how you want to take the photograph.
The duckling photo is quite cute, but I think the focus is just a tad bit off. While it stands out from the background, I can't help but think it would have contrasted more if you managed to photograph it walking on the green leaves in the middle. Careful of your framing, as you have a bit of the door frame/pillar (seems to be?) in the frame and it detracts in my view. At least the way you have placed it. Don't be afraid to move around, crouch and experiment with perspectives. As stated, use JPEGs.
Keep shooting and have fun. I hand this article out to people getting into photography as its very useful.
