I love the colour of the sky on this photo, Reminds me a little of a game called Limbo.

I wish I knew more about photography, or had a better camera, so I was able to focus on the moon but till keep the rest of the image the same.

To do that you need to shoot at a much higher shutter speed that you would usually to bring out to details of the moon

Thats actually not the best way to do it. You want a high f/stop to allow a deep depth of field and a long shutter speed to counteract the underexposure. Use a tripod.

As I've said before, an aurora's beauty is hard to define with a single picture. It is really something you can only fully experience by seeing one with your own eyes. It really makes you understand how our late ancestors thought an aurora was the work of the gods.

If you're interested in seeing one, and happen to live close to the north, this site will help you a lot.

Lense flare from the moon made it look like we have two moons. I also blew the moon out but I kinda like how it turned out anyways.

I think I'll post this here too. I'm kind of torn if it actually fits in -this- thread in particular. On the other hand this is the only thread we have to post photos in.

I got my BB Gun today and decided I'd take a photo of it and make it seem like something you could use in an advertisement, or just as a product preview (like one of those thumbnails that you click to view a bigger image on the websites). So I played with the light settings, used a flash and this is what I got.

2 were shot in an Olympus Trip 35 and the other 2 in a Praktica Super TL1000

Its a small camera and it works brilliantly, I had to look at the negs several times to figuire which set was took with which camera

Now this was the first time I had took a Praktica out properly, luckily they are rather simple and are similar to what I'm used to.

I didn't listen to the lightmeter for this picture so it was rather heavily underexposed so a quickauto touchup in photoshop later

I was told that the pier was a bit unsafe but I still climbed onto it (with the help of a sand mound)

I like to think that some people take long breaks between large photosessions. I only go out once every month or so to get a proper collection of 20+ new photos, because that way everything feels fresh and new, and there'll be more to see.
