Thats actually not the best way to do it. You want a high f/stop to allow a deep depth of field and a long shutter speed to counteract the underexposure. Use a tripod.
really? hmmm i never thought of that! too bad the aperture ring on my telephoto is broken :(
If he meant exposure then the way you suggested would work fine, however i assumed he meant focusing and not exposure, so.
Did a HDR of a building in Belfast that I liked. The composition is pretty awful, I just took it as I was walking along.
Getting back into photography, sorry for the dump. This is a collection of photographs from the past couple of months. I feel as I'm getting better, so crit is welcome. First one was amusing. Tenth one is friggin' beautiful, man.
WOW, some cool pictures there
Some pictures I took with an old camera, I got a much better one now so I shall try to get those pictures up ASAP (Sadly it's an SLR, need to get a DSLR! Still love my SLR to bits!) I wish I would use my ME Super more. I've only shot in B&W with it. I want to try color. Just haven't been inspired.

It is really something you can only fully experience by seeing one with your own eyes. It really makes you understand how our late ancestors thought an aurora was the work of the gods. Lense flare from the moon made it look like we have two moons. I also blew the moon out but I kinda like how it turned out anyways. I think I'll post this here too. I'm kind of torn if it actually fits in -this- thread in particular. On the other hand this is the only thread we have to post photos in. I got my BB Gun today and decided I'd take a photo of it and make it seem like something you could use in an advertisement, or just as a product preview (like one of those thumbnails that you click to view a bigger image on the websites). So I played with the light settings, used a flash and this is what I got. Besides the upper right corner that looks pretty good It's not perfectly white but a bit of photoshop could probably sort that out
Oh yeah, now that you mention it. I think I have my monitor brightness a bit high.
I haven't been through this thread in a while and yous are getting very good, theres some fantastic photos here. This is a cross-post from the Film! thread. Right I just got 4 rolls of film bck 2 were shot in an Olympus Trip 35 and the other 2 in a Praktica Super TL1000 Starting with the Trip 35 Its a small camera and it works brilliantly, I had to look at the negs several times to figuire which set was took with which camera Hartlepool by CommunistWolf, on Flickr Hartlepool by CommunistWolf, on Flickr Hartlepool by CommunistWolf, on Flickr Now this was the first time I had took a Praktica out properly, luckily they are rather simple and are similar to what I'm used to. I didn't listen to the lightmeter for this picture so it was rather heavily underexposed so a quickauto touchup in photoshop later Tunstall by CommunistWolf, on Flickr I think this picture might be better if there was a subjecct such as a person. How come we always seem to get these bursts of a few pages of absolutely amazing content then it all just dies down for a while, the more of this content I see the more i'm actually inspired to go out and do some photos myself
I know what you mean man i've noticed this too! can't think of why this is
I like to think that some people take long breaks between large photosessions. I only go out once every month or so to get a proper collection of 20+ new photos, because that way everything feels fresh and new, and there'll be more to see.
