are you god damn crazy, what? [editline]7th March 2014[/editline] I mean look at this http://www.razerzone.com/store/razer-blackwidow-ultimate-stealth their entire marketing is using fancy words that mean nothing at all and having a lot of "pretty" LED lights.
I don't know. Looking at your link and browsing only a few other sites, Razer's prices aren't that much higher. Your $45 keyboard is using a switch I've never heard of before, not to mention the keyboard itself looks pretty sketchy. Most of the other decently priced ones are out of stock. Even a mechanical keyboard guide thread says $80~130 is medium priced. Don't get me wrong, Razer tends to exaggerate their "ultimate" editions and such with a ridiculously higher price tag for some pretty LED's. But their blackwidow standard with this new switch only costing about $100 isn't looking too bad if the reviews for the new switch are good. It's not the best priced keyboard by a longshot, but it wouldn't be an awful choice.

Pretty simple again, claiming long lasting durability Pretty cheesy but again, very simple and clear - the keys are lit up.
I mean words like "Stealth" and "Tournament"
Oh you raise the bar, alright Razer. The price bar!
I mean words like "Stealth" and "Tournament"
Oh. Well it's just a product name, I mean "Razer blackwidow backlit with USB and audio ports" would market as well :v:
I currently own a deathstalker my brother gave me and I can't see any of the keys so I dont know what the fuck that it, it's a nice keyboard. I wouldn't not recommend razer, but i like aesthetics, if you're not bothered, there's better value

I really can't tell.
Razers stuff was literally the cheapest options on komplett.no when I bought both the gaming mouse and the mechanical keyboard. :v: It was sort of strange because before that I'd only heard about Razer stuff being expensive. The mouse cost me ~$60 Keyboard cost me ~$110 These were the cheapest options for gaming mice and mechanical keyboards respectively. [editline]8th March 2014[/editline] Shipping from mechanicalkeyboards.com is really expensive.
Yes, because spending $100+ on a keyboard with ergonomics you can get from a keyboard that's 80% cheaper makes a whole lot of sense. If you guys quit smashing on your keyboards when you die in a video game you probably wouldn't have to own 8lb $100 metal keyboards.
I have lots of money that I like to spend on nice things this means i should die i'll make sure to keep that in mind [editline]7th March 2014[/editline] I'll probably look into one of these. Stick of Truth really showed me that while 2.2 ms is a p. good response time, it's just not enough for the more intense mash fests you gotta get through in some games. [editline]7th March 2014[/editline]
ive got a blackwidow ultimate, its amazing. had 0 issues with it ever. had it about 16 months so far
Weirdly, my Blackwidow Ultimate had some SERIOUS issues last year, it would force random inputs, it'd flicker, and the macro keys would do random shit. Stowed it away and used my Microsoft Wave for a while, and decided to break out the Widow again just to try and fix it. Plugged it in and it worked perfectly, no issues aside from the w keys backlight flickers every now and then. fucking thing has a self repair system
Help, I'm drowning in self-centered anecdotes.
My aunt bought be a Blackwidow 2013 back in 2012 christmas Within a year, Razer decided to drop support for it in Synapse, rendering macros and re-keybindings useless, way to shit at your customers I still use it, but just without Synapse installed (Piece of crap software slowing down my computer)
I've got a Blackwidow 2012, and I still get updates in Synapse... Maybe the issue is on your end?
I have a product from Razer which isn't even being sold by them anymore yet it still gets Synapse support. It must be something on his end.
They noted in the changenotes it's removal Hmm... (Meh)
Have you tried Synapse 2.0? It supports Razer Devices from 2012 up.
They noted in the changenotes it's removal Hmm... (Meh)
Oh. How odd. [editline]god damn it[/editline] my automeerge
I'm pretty happy with my membrane sidewinder x4, its outlived my other keyboards and has survived many drink spills and other things but I can certainly see the appeal of mechanical switches. I however can't see the appeal of this Razer junk. It's just a switch which has an earlier activation point. Wow, amazing. Rocket science.
What are you playing where you're pressing 10 keys at the same time?
MMOs, I find myself pressing 10 keys at once in Tera, luckily my keyboard has 0 key clashing or ghosting issues.
Have you tried Synapse 2.0? It supports Razer Devices from 2012 up.
I uninstalled it months ago anyway, it was slowing down my computer (like every razer application)
I've been using the same keyboard since I got my first computer in 2003. I would be using the same mouse, too, but my wireless receiver doesn't work for it anymore. Personally I think that if you spend any more than $40 on basic peripherals like a mouse and keyboard, you should find the nearest bottle of bleach and consume it.
Personally, I think that if you spend a lot of your life playing EVE online and watching anime, you're wasting your useless life and you should find the nearest bottle of bleach and consume it. Oh wait, I don't really think that or care about EVE online at all because people have different tastes and preferences that may conflict with mine, fuck off.
MMOs, I find myself pressing 10 keys at once in Tera, luckily my keyboard has 0 key clashing or ghosting issues.
I really want to know how this happens. Even in some of the most intense moments in WoW or Dota I've never pressing more than four keys at a time. Also, what kind of keyboard do you have?
esports athletes lmfao

This reminded me of a Razer-sticker my friend gave me. He got it from some expo-thing. I slapped it on my coffeemaker and now it saves coffee making!
Why, though? That .3 difference won't even be noticeable. It blows my mind that people are going to spend >$100 for this stuff x.x
What are you playing where you're pressing 10 keys at the same time?
When you're running mobas, MMOs, or other games like ArmA alongside a third party VOIP, you start to use a shitton of keys at once
I eagerly await the day someone makes an NKRO buckling spring keyboard, I actually had the idea of buying an NKRO board and then frankensteining it to work with the buckling spring key somehow, but the idea could not end up being viable and or too bulky. I am currently using a unicomp model m space saver, and for some weird ass reason the right arrow key crapped out on it, which doesn't make a lot of sense at all.
just buy any ps/2 buckling spring keyboard? all of them have full key rollover
