I want to watch this just because Burn Gorman is in it.
Almost three hours withou going to the bathroom? What happened to intermissions?
The last films I watched with an intermission were the older Harry Potter films and The Lord of the Rings. Did they just get phased out or something?
@TomMcAuliffe: Just finished the screening of Dark Knight Rises...so much awesome...can't wait to see it again. And again. @TomMcAuliffe: 9 out of 10 for me. I'd put Amazing Spider-Man at a 7.5 and Avengers at an 8.5 ‏@ZachPincus: The Dark Knight Rises is not only easily the best Batman movie yet, but now one of my favorite movies I've ever seen. It was unbelievable! ‏@marcogennuso: Here's what I'm reading from the press screening of The Dark Knight Rises: "Chris Nolan has outdone himself & created a masterpiece". ‪#TDKR @marcogennuso: If this does not break the mold and win Best Picture, no comic book movie ever will" ‪#TDKR @marcogennuso: Bane is completely audible.....Bane's dialogue had either been boosted up or re-dubbed (some lines seemed a little different)" ‪#TDKR @marcogennuso: Love the Joker....but Bane's plan is more creative, better executed, and a little more fun to watch as it all unfolds" ‪#TDKR @marcogennuso: I was quoting a reviewer who's seen the film at a press screening a few hours ago. I did not see the film. Yet ;) @ocram "I, myself, cried twice...once out of sadness and once out of pure geeky uncontrollable happiness." #TDKR @aceshowbiz: 'The Dark Knight Rises' Gets Standing Ovation During Press Screening @EricIGN: Oy... Dark Knight Rises had its first press screening last night, only for technical difficulties to stop it mid-movie.
I'm in Singapore I'm not sure if its legal to ship my ticket to your country
Ah alright, it's no problem then, thanks anyway.
Damn I love the sound of Zimmer. "Mind If I Cut In?" might be my favorite track of the bunch.
'Imagine The Fire' is my favourite out of the lot.
Now we wait for a few years for the complete scores to leak. Happened with Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. It'll happen to this one.
The score in the Nokia trailer is amazing. Shivers down my spine amazing.
about time they figured out that a poster can still be good without a shit ton of explosions and colors (or ~extreme rain~). Same design we saw before on their webgame, but now it's on a poster, which is nice. Again, note the bat logo his eye shadow forms.
Clever.
"Rise" is an amazing track, holy shit. And I shouldn't read the comments from the press release, they make me hyped as fuck.
From the previews I'd say that Gotham's Reckoning is the best track, with Why Do We Fall? coming in second.
"Rise" is an amazing track, holy shit. And I shouldn't read the comments from the press release, they make me hyped as fuck.
There's a part in there with a lone choir boy singing. That means someone's gonna die. :v:
I want that poster in my room.
speaking of posters checked my imax site and it says we get free posters for going to midnight premiere. wonder what poster
What is it with the posters looking like shit recently? It was the same with the Avengers. Not that one postal posted up there-- that's sweet-- but the others.
Batman has seemed to have lightened up significantly in this movie.
Any other place where we can listen to the soundtrack? Empire's player is horrible.
Ugh, why are pieces for Bane's costume so expensive...
You can find most of the tracks on certain file-sharing sites or on youtube by now. also: i moved the notes of the background music in the middle of Gotham's Reckoning to the foreground a bit to give people an idea of what it used to sound like before they added the chant. (Also, I re-made the cool bane percussion sequence that got cut from the OST (but is in the movie), hopefully ur jimmies will be rustled)

Yeah, it's a real condition. It usually happens to the older folk.

The part in Rise with the choir boy singing also appears in Batman Begins, during the scene where Bruce's parents die.
The BBFC have published their Extended Classification Information. There aren't any major spoilers, but I've tagged the text just in case. [sp]THE DARK KNIGHT RISES is a fantasy action film in which Batman returns to Gotham City when it is threatened by a new enemy. The film was classified '12A' for moderate violence. There are a number of scenes of moderate violence and these generally occur during fast-paced fights between characters who are clearly defined as good or bad. Although there are heavy blows and impacts, little is shown in terms of injury detail, with the emphasis firmly placed on the abilities of the characters involved. One sequence sees the sustained beating of one character by another but the scene serves to emphasise the powerful and ruthless nature of the attacker rather than presenting sadism for its own sake. A stabbing carries little visual detail and the focus is on the treachery of the character using the knife rather than on any sense of relish in violence. The Guidelines at '12A'/'12' state 'Moderate violence is allowed but should not dwell on detail. There should be no emphasis on injuries or blood, but occasional gory moments may be permitted if justified by the context'. The film also contains a single use of moderate language when a woman is referred to as a 'dumb bitch', as well as some milder bad language, including uses of 'Jesus', 'hell', 'peeing', 'son of a bitch', 'balls' and 'bastard'. There are also infrequent mild sex references. Parents can find additional information about the content of this film if they visit www.pbbfc.co.uk.[/sp]

Argh, as much as I love Hans Zimmer, I hate how he recycles music. Most of the pieces were taken from Batman Begins and TDK
Argh, as much as I love Hans Zimmer, I hate how he recycles music. Most of the pieces were taken from Batman Begins and TDK
Well it's called a sequel for a reason, if you have a problem with recycled music throughout sequels, don't listen to any star war's ost other than the first one. A lot of people would've been upset without hearing some sort of reprisal of the other themes -- and they really could have recycled more than they did. In comparison, this movie has just as much or more new material than TDK OST had (there are bonus tracks/theme suites that haven't been released/announced yet) They had almost a new composer working for each harry potter movie, so most of them were forced to make their own original music (apart from Hedwig's Theme), even though most of it sucked.
