Overnight it got 3 more rotten reviews, and unfortunately those can bring down 32 positive reviews
Can anyone explain to me the difference between dvd and blu-ray ????
Don't be mean.
For all we know, it might belong down there.
This is a bit disconcerting though.

Almost everyone else has been giving it 5 stars or something quite close to that. So I don't think it does.
Well the two main complaints i'm hearing at the moment are "It's too long" and "It didn't live up to all the hype"
So basically if you can sit through a longish movie (And many of us can) and don't assume that it's going to be the greatest movie ever made, then you'll probably enjoy yourself.
Doesn't matter what a few critics say. Either way this movie is going to make a billion dollars.
Critics putting movies down for hype is getting annoying.
What happened to independent opinion? Spider-man got put down because it happens to be a remake, Batman gets put down for being 'over hyped'. They're not reviews of the movie at all. Spiderman got the "too long" bull shit too.
Those are fine as nitpicks but it's fucking annoying me people are building whole reviews round this shit.

My cinema is doing it's Batman marathon TODAY (No Dark Knight Rises, obviously). So off I go. Cya.
ive been purposefully avoiding nearly all things batman and i've successfully ridded my mind of all expectations
it is what it is, not what I hope it'll be
In Tempe we have something called The Proscenium, which is 2 times bigger than IMAX with 6 400 watt subs and an entire Bose sound system. They'll be showing this in it during the premiere AND I'M GONNA SEE IT.
when you say 2 times bigger though resolution still matters. part of the whole "digital imax sucks" is the lesser resolution.
Can anyone explain to me what exactly is so special about IMAX? Is it just a bigger screen?
imax sound is great too, the seats rumble.
also TDK has like 300 reviews, give it time and the percentage could go up.
What did critics say about the length of the Lord of the Rings movies?
Your punishment must be more severe.

And then The Avengers was applauded because it managed to lived up to its 'hype'.
I fucking hope TDKR blows the avengers out of the water.
Really annoys me seeing 9gag shit of avengers everywhere.

i have a feeling it might get kind of close but fall short if only because nolan decided not to make it 3d (and 3d tickets cost more, and while imax does too, they are more populous than imaxes)
but i'm not complaining. 3d is a shit gimmick.
If it’s at all possible, Bane is even more nihilistic than Heath Ledger’s Joker from The Dark Knight. And while it would be almost impossible to top the late Ledger’s incendiary performance, which won him a posthumous Best Supporting Actor Oscar, Hardy’s Bane comes awfully close. He’s mesmerizing on the screen, recalling Darth Vader in the original Star Wars.
JeremyJahns reviewed it and gave it his highest rating

Comparing him to Vader is some heavy shit. Vader is probably the most heavily established movie villain ever created. This movie is going to be insane.

I think a lot of the controversy comes from theatres just retrofitting a normal screen with an IMAX digital projector and branding it as IMAX. Don't get me wrong. Digital IMAX isn't as good as 70mm due to digital's limited resolution and bit depth, even David Keighley admits that. But it's definitely better than your typical movie experience, especially with a theatre designed with it in mind.. The only concern I have about it is that the visuals might be second best once 4K projectors get more adoption, since the dual 2K system digital IMAX uses doesn't produce an image as good as a single 4K one. But again that's just focusing on the visuals and ignoring stuff like IMAX's calibration standards for theatres and the audio systems.
Nnnngh still in the 80%s, consensus is that it's not quite as good as the last Movie.
LIES
(I hope)
Complete trilogy in IMAX was sold out. Instead I'm seeing Batman Begins and The Dark Knight from 6 PM to midnight, sitting in a theater from midnight to 3:30 AM doing nothing, then watching Rises in IMAX until around 7. Totally worth it.
I hope someday, somewhere there is another opportunity to see all 3 in IMAX. The Dark Knight is the best IMAX film I've ever seen hands down.

Honestly, I doubt anything could top The Dark Knight. I'm not expecting it to reach that height, but at the same time, it better not be a Spider-Man 3 to The Dark Knight's Spider-Man 2...
