I will willingly fly to New York to watch just so I can throw more money
That graph is bullshit if it's not adjusted for inflation.
I didn't really enjoy TDK but the new one was just too damn awesome.
Bane was done extremely good in the movie, They made him just like his original character....I thought they would of made him a dumb brute.
His line [sp]I will break you[/sp] had me laughing.

I'm going to be showing up 2 hours early when I go to it tomorrow. I'm hoping other people will think that's unnecessary so I'll be first to enter that theatre.

HOLLYWOOD — Calling the last decade the most embarrassing of his 20-year-long acting career, Dark Knight Rises star Christian Bale expressed relief today that his days of "dressing up in a rubber suit and pretending to be a comic book super hero" are finally over.
"There wasn't a moment I went to work that I didn't feel completely idiotic affecting that ridiculous, gravelly voice or wearing that absurd black makeup under my eyes."
Bale told reporters, adding that every time he looked at himself in a mirror while dressed as Batman he felt like a complete idiot.
"Here I am hanging from ropes, throwing around what are essentially children’s toys at 'bad guys,' and then to make matters worse, I have to say things like, 'I believe in Harvey Dent.' The whole thing was mortifying."
When asked what the most fulfilling moment of his acting career was, Bale mentioned any time he had to do flying splits during the dance scenes in Newsies.

"The Onion".
Got my tickets for tonight; can't wait! Local theater sold out the first showing but decided to do a second showing at the same time because of the high demand.

Funny thing is he would actually say that.

70 cents in 1962 is $5.62 in 2012 so i guess the price increase isn't so bad assuming wages kept up with inflation
which they didn't
but whatever
Just finished Begins. Waiting for DK to start now.
Saw it today at 2:30, part of an early screening. It's pretty good, it makes me sad to think Christian Bale thought playing Batman was humiliating though

The onion is a completely satirical news site.
Its for comedy.
I just saw the NY premiere and I was extremely disappointed.
Oh god, not what I wanted to read. My showing is about to start.

One person said this and you're bricking it? Calm down man.
I'm not bricking it, but the seed of doubt has been planted, and my paranoid mind has already sent me into a downward spiral of panic and fear
Either that or the guy in front of me with the scarecrow outfit is a much better cosplayer than I thought

Personally I never believe in listening to many opinions about movies especially when there is 0 elaboration as to why the person thought it was good/bad, but I understand.

You killed it
I just saw the NY premiere and I was extremely disappointed.
I'm the exact opposite; I thought it was superb. Beautifully filmed, brilliantly acted, and had a great plot and villain. It wasn't quite up to the level of The Dark Knight, but I thought it was an absolutely fantastic end to Nolan's trilogy.
It was great, Catwoman is now my favorite.
I thought that the first act was a bit iffy. [sp]Miranda and Bruce's relationship felt sorta rushed for the sake of one and used as plot device. Also John Blake knowing Bruce as Batman based off some face readings seemed a bit ludicrous.[/sp]
Other than that, it eventually picked up and the conclusion was well-executed. It ended the trilogy on a good note.
Going to be watching it for about 5 more times. Looking forward to it.
mixed feelings i guess. extremely sad they had hardy voice over some of his lines. sounds like he's all powerful / talking from everywhere / the narrator
main thought about the movie, deals with the ending: [sp]nolan lied, "no robin." i would've preferred he left that out and we could've assumed a nightwing esque role for him. that "you should use your legal name" bit was totally in there as a crowd pleaser and makes no sense for an ACTUAL robin (it would be like instead of superman you have Clarkman). actually showing bruce a the end was too much. i mean did you not learn from inception? should've just had alfred smile and walk away, maybe show catwoman with guy on her arm who's face you can't see but alfred can. there's not real point to having you build up all that emotion and suspense to just tear it down 3 minutes later[/sp]
something about it didn't feel quite nolan esque either (i want to say it didn't feel as realistic as the other two, that and something about the camera work is different). better than BB, not as good as TDK is where i'd rank it.
Back from midnight showing.
I absolutely loved it. Just as much as TDK.
Wonderful cinematography, superb acting, gripping... it was literally everything it should have been. Just fantastic.
All the actors did an amazing job, and the ending was, whether you like it or not (and I did, a lot), handled in a spectacular way.
As for Bane, who was the thing I looked forward to the most in this movie, I was both impressed and disappointed. Originally, when I heard how his voice changed, I was startled, because it was much lighter-pitched than originally in the preview, but I got used to it. Hardy proved he had potential to provide a performance just as impressive as I wanted him to. In the earlier bits of the movie, his body language and eyes were spot-on and terrifying, especially the first scene in the sewer, the fight scene, and the scene where Bane talks to Batman in [sp]the prison[/sp]. Specifically that last one, I can remember distinctly there was one moment that his eyes alone sent chills down my spine.
Unfortunately, he doesn't have very many chances later in the movie to exemplify his skill, in my mind. Actually I felt he as the central villain was kind of tossed aside near the middle to the end, and because of that we didn't get to see more of what could have been an extraordinary performance, especially keeping in mind that he has to do everything with just his eyes and body language. And I just want to say that [sp]I really hated to see him go from an absolute juggernaut to, really, seeming rather pathetic, between crying and having his tubes placed gently back in by Talia before having his muzzle rubbed gently. It just... didn't seem to fit the character to me. Oh yeah, and they killed him far, far too quickly. He was, no matter what Talia did at the end of the movie, the central villain, and to see him killed off without a real proper "farewell" and as a quick twist was sad.[/sp]
But don't get me wrong. That's only some aspects of one character. Everything else was truly a spectacle to behold and I recommend it strongly.

[sp]I still hate how they try to make Robin Blake seem to be the next "Batman," inheriting the Batcave, yet still having that name. I get it that he didn't want people to think that he's Robin, but that would have been a hell a lot better than this "Robin Blake" concept. Just stick with what the story says instead of trying to insert so much new shit. I was able to tolerate the changes with Bane, but Robin Blake? Gah...[/sp]
