Wow, not only is that asinine, misinformed and stupid, that's fucking rude.
My thoughts exactly.
Well a news reporter/consultant just compared the shooter to the Joker and said "As we all know, Batman 3 is all about the Joker's revenge."
Any idea what this reporter's name is?
yeah i'm just waiting for every soccer mom and reporter to say he was influenced by the film or some stupid shit.

Rod Wheeler.
really should have rewatched the first two movies before going into this one.
bet lots of people will be playing batman games after the movie. haha.
Just got back from this brilliant film. [sp] The back breaking scene made me cringe and when I saw Bane pick up Bats, I gasped in horror. [/sp]
[sp]Isn't that like Bane's big thing? He's "The guy who broke Batman's back", right? So it had to be in this movie. And my god was it brutal.[/sp]
The plot ended up being almost an exact match with what everyone guessed it would be in the thread for the trailer.
Eh.

[sp] I just had that image in my head of the comic book version and it was almost identical and I was like "Oh shit" [/sp]
So, the shooter in CO called himself The Joker and he painted his hair red... worst Joker cosplay ever.
[sp]That reminds me, anyone else come to the conclusion that this film was just a combination of Knightfall and No Man's Land? Both were Batman story arcs... in Knightfall, Bane releases all the prisoners from Blackgate and then breaks Batman's back. In No Man's Land, a plague and then an earthquake separate Gotham from the rest of the world, resulting in chaos and martial law.[/sp]

[sp]Those graphic novels, along with The Dark Knight Returns, were used as the basis for the story.[/sp]
Oh gosh. This movie was really good. [sp] Fight where Batman manages to disconnect the painkillers and Bane just starts swinging for the fences - good lord he is brutal. And the reveal with Miranda being Talia and Bane her protector. As for some of the plot holes, I think Batman might have been somewhere in South America while he was in the Pit. Really can't explain Bane "dying", he did get shot with a tank shell but still. [/sp] Oh and the ending [sp]with Alfred casually supping Wayne and "Robin" finding the cave, made me smile. A rather happy ending [/sp]
[sp] Pay attention. Most of the things can be explained by listening[/sp]
Ok so [sp]when the bomb went off over the bay[/sp] my first thought was [sp]"what does postal think of this?"[/sp]. i completely forgot about the [sp]autopilot[/sp]
[sp]I love that Gotham is literally New York City[/sp]

i don't really think that's a spoiler it's been pretty obvious from the start
OK I was pissed at Nolan for that shit he pulled with Blake [sp]being called Robin[/sp] but he makes up for it now

Don't see how that is a spoiler but I'll reply in censors just in case:
[sp]Yea, I thought that was weird. I could of sworn that the previous film was filmed in Chicago.[/sp]
I get the impression that Gotham is supposed to be an amalgam of every big metropolitan center in America.

I saw bits and pieces of a lot of cities in that movie.
I always assumed it to be Chicago. Massive corruption, mafia paying off large amounts of cops/judges/politicians, and the undercity of homeless people.
They were filming in Chicago while I was there. I got to see the batwing from my friend's apartment.
[sp] That scene with Alfred crying at Bruce's grave at the end made me tear up. [/sp]
I felt the same until [sp]the scene with the cafe right at the very end. It felt like it cheapened Bruce's sacrifice and Alfred's reaction made no sense. Either the table should've been empty, or he should've at least shown some sort of emotion that he hadn't failed instead of just leaving[/sp]
They use lots of different cities, in TDKR it was mostly New York and Pittsburgh IIRC.

I'm assuming [sp]Lucuis told him the autopilot was fixed.[/sp]
Bane
[sp] There's no evidence that Bane is dead. None. The fact that he's actually moving after she plows him says otherwise, in fact, none of which is relevant to the fact he's defeated.
Also people whining about how Bruce got back to Gotham must have missed the giant fuck off city WITH AIRPLANES behind him.
Also Talia's accent and the Ra's/LoS mark on her back were dead giveaways.[/sp]

AGREED
[sp] I HATE when movies do the long emotional death of a character and it ends with them really alive with a little wink wink nudge nudge to the camera almost "hey just kidding I'm really alive". It's the only thing I did not like about the movie. Though it sounds morbid I wish Bruce Wayne had truely died. It would have been way more powerful. [/sp]

[sp]But that's not a very happy ending.[/sp]
Two questions:
1.Why was Bain's voice what it was?
2.What was the chant? This Is _____. I couldn't make it out.
Bane's voice WAS Tom Hardy; all they did was flange it a little.
Deshi Basara means "He Rises" in Moroccan. He is reborn, he is returned, etc etc.
[sp]But that's not a very happy ending.[/sp]
[sp] Happy ending =/= Good Ending. I wouldn't say I dislike the ending itself, I just really wish it went another way. Batman sacrificing himself for Gotham is more heroic than just putting away the costume imo. [/sp]
