yeah
I thought it was funny how the Superman trailer used LOTOR music right after The Hobbit trailer. Also the audience laughed at a guys reaction to it. THE MAN OF STEEEL "yeah!" 2013 "oh..."
Amazing film, but I got a bit peeved by [sp]The twist at the end with Tali. Mostly because it seemed to turn Bane into "The Muscle" for her whole plan, just a tool. I thought Bane was a far more interesting villain, and he's SUPPOSED to be a brilliant mastermind.[/sp]

[sp]Bane is still the mastermind, but Talia is using his plan to carry out her own.[/sp]
[sp]What was the deal with the mark on Talia's back? I noticed that Bane had the same mark.[/sp]

The Dark Knight Rises just made $30.6 million from midnight showings. Avengers only made $18.7 million from midnight showings, but I'm still skeptical about this making a bigger weekend gross than Avengers $207.4 million. and we won't be given any information regarding box office draw until monday due to the shooting, WB wants to be respectful about it and not discuss money until then.
I just got back from it. Goddamn. [sp]Alfred made me tear-up at the grave scene, but I became as giddy as a schoolgirl with the Robin reveal. The back-breaking scene... christ, that was fantastically brutal. Scarecrow's cameo, the slight nod to Killer Croc, man... it was all great.[/sp] I fucking loved this movie.

Are there any nods to other Batman villans during the film? I could picture an few if they were handled tastefully.

[/sp]
I know, but [sp]just the way she was treating him during the reveal was so stupid. When she's gently rubbing him on the "muzzle". It made him look weak, which was just sad.[/sp]
[sp]Where was the reference to Killer Croc?[/sp]
[sp]When JGL wants to investigate the sewers, he tells Bruce that the police told him to watch out for giant alligators[/sp]
Maybe it's just me but I couldn't help but laugh for the prison pit scenes when they chanted because to me it sounded like they were saying "This is awesome awesome, this is awesome awesome this is awesome awesome."
I don't get the British audiences. When i saw the film yesterday, there was no cheers, no laughs, no applause at the end. Everyone was like mindless drones. I also liked the nod to a certain alligator....

They cheered during the opening credits, near the end and when the credits began.

American one is all laughy and happy but when you watch the British one its really like dark and depressing haha. Still makes me laugh, but the atmosphere is a lot more serious for some reason
The rule of cool, my friend.
Rule of Cool was definitely in effect here, but I felt like the movie came really close to breaking it several times and then dodged in the nick of time.
For those who saw the leaked prologue, did it annoy you that [sp]they drastically changed/rerecorded Hardy's lines in the plane crashing scene to make his voice more "clear"? I felt that, by doing so, basically took out a lot of menace and gruff that really added to his character. I noticed it immediately once Bane started talking in that scene.[/sp]

It's understandable when there's someone who worked on the movie was there. Why cheer? It's a fictional story which the audience has no effect on. I don't finish a book then start clapping if I thought it was good. Me and my friends talk about what we thought was cool and what was cheer worthy after to see how it affected each of us differently and what emotions it invoked. Other people are trying to watch a movie and shouting in the middle of it doesn't help. That's why everyone makes jokes about Americlaps on 4chan.

I live in the uk and people gave a standing ovation after my screening.
[sp]Did anyone else crack up at the scene where Commissioner Gordon chose death instead of exile, and Scarcrow gave him death, by exile?[/sp] I thought that scene was fucking hilarious
You can tell that entire scene was meant for the Joker. :saddowns:
You can tell that entire scene was meant for the Joker. :saddowns:
Pity, it would have been even cooler if it did have the Joker in it
You can tell that entire scene was meant for the Joker. :saddowns:
Not really, I doubt he would have begun writing it before Heath died. Besides, the Joker would have been fucking a lot more shit up in more serious ways were he to be in the film. But it really didn't need him so it was a good call to keep him out (that and the actor is dead...)
When [sp]Bane was holding Batman over his head[/sp], was I the only one thinking "[sp]DO IT DO IT DO IT DO IT DO IT[/sp]"?
[sp]Anyone who's seen that iconic panel from the comic was just waiting for it to happen. And that entire scene was fucking incredible.[/sp]
going to see it tomorrow, albeit not in imax.
