Robin? Gay?
Probably. With a name like Robin.
[editline]2nd November 2010[/editline]
Bruce named himself after a fucking bat. To strike fear into his enemies hearts.
I bet they piss themselves with laughter when they hear Robin is coming.
because robin dresses like a small and harmless bird?
"Robin the Wonder Boy" is not frightening, that's all.
Why are we discussing something that's not a possibility, anyway?
because robin is a girly boy
why do you keep bringing up the scarecrow's return in Dark Knight as if that's at all comparable to the Joker being recast and returning for the hell of it in TDKR? The scarecrow was still on the run and the Joker is already under arrest. Not the same thing.
I don't care what they're doing in the story between movies, the point is that he had screen time and there was really nothing left to be said with him. Scarecrow was a character they could have easily done away with with a simple explanation or nothing at all and no one would have cared or noticed. Joker can be in the asylum, he doesn't have to be doing deals in parking garages. Batman or other characters frequently visit Joker and other villains in prison or the asylum for advice or to help them break out or what have you.
well i mean he might show up except for the fact HE'S IN JAIL and the ACTOR IS DEAD and it's ALREADY BEEN DONE but apart from that yeah he might be in it!!!!!!
I never said he had to be running the show or doing anything outside of the asylum. Heath is not Joker. There is a suitable replacement for Heath (+ editing tricks). Scarecrow was already done so what's your point? I know Joker won't be in it, but I think it's bullshit.

They could do Nightwing instead, skip the whole Robin phase.

Nah I don't like sidekicks in super hero movies.
because robin dresses like a small and harmless bird?
He hasn't even got the right colour scheme for a robin.
So he's stupid too.
Nah I don't like sidekicks in super hero movies.
Well I don't want him in it, I was suggesting a way to make him less gay.
because robin is a girly boy
"since i know it's not going to happen, i keep wanting to convince people he would be cool in a movie" what was he thinking
[editline]3rd November 2010[/editline]
even in that drawing where he tried to make him look cool robin looks gay as heck
[editline]3rd November 2010[/editline]
that dude is obsessed with batman, and he has a very tenuous grasp on anatomy

Suggesting ways to make him less gay IF they were to put him in =/= convincing people he should be in the movie

also meh?

Hey, that's really good. Also, he looks like Tim to me for some reason..
next villain is Lex Luthor I called it

Now he looks like Batmans bum boy.
Or annoying son.
Or both.

Not really, for Nolan's films I'd say that yes, Heath is the joker. He made that role his. Seeing someone else take over and trying to pretend they are Heath would just be lame to see.

yeah one superhero is enough.
This movie should really focus on Batman. There's been some new casting rumors talking about them adding this woman detective who apparently had an affair with Gordon in the comics, and I really hope that shit turns out to be fake. Last thing I'd want to see is some dumb side plot taking away from the batman story.
EDIT: oh hey apparently that rumor was fake after all. That's good.
I remember watching a superhero cartoon once. Can't remember which one it was but it was quite recent. It was Green Lantern, Flash, Batman, Superman etc... And then I remember that they killed Lex Luthor but they lost Flash in the process. Then they became so bored they went to a different dimension, stole that dimension's Flash and Lex Luthor because they were bored without him.
That's like so stupid

Justice League. It was show for kids, what did you expect?

Realistic clayface would be fun.
What I like about Nolan's Batman, is that he doesn't waste time doing a genesis story. We get straight into villains kicking ass.

They're citing their source as comicbookmovie.com, the same site that posted a fan made christian bale interview as legit awhile back. I'd ignore it unless someone more credible says something about it (something other than "look what comicmoviehole said!")

Alright already, I will simply accept that Joker vanished forever.

now everyone is reporting on this. How annoying. I really hope this isn't true. This whole thing with Gordon having an affair would be lame.
I just hope they at least have a small mention of the penguin, like they did of scarecrow at the start of The Dark Knight.
he was my favorite villain
Crazy rumour.
Christopher Nolan has kept his cards pretty close to his chest when its come to details for The Dark Knight Rises, only going to far as to say the villain won't be The Riddler and it won't be filmed in 3D.
So who will Batman face off against this time round?
HULIQ reports:
"The good people of the website io9.com have been putting in a lot of legwork on the subject and have come across a recent tip that leads them to believe that Clayface will indeed be Nolan's choice.
According to the website, producers of The Dark Knight Rises have begun holding auditions for the part of Julie Madison (actresses listed as having auditioned include Kacie Thomas and Vera Farmiga). The website also makes a Clayface connection by pointing out that, while the character has ties to Batman, her comic book history has the young woman starring in the remake of a fictional classic horror movie, The Terror, which previously starred Basil Karlo.
Who is Basil Karlo and why is this important, you ask?
In the Batman comic book series, Karlo becomes enraged when he learns that The Terror is being remade and goes on a crime and murder spree donning the mask of the villain from the film, Clayface.
If the character of Julie Madison is indeed cast for The Dark Knight Rises, it is a very good chance that there could also be the inclusion of Clayface in Nolan's third film."
Additonal information direct from the io9.com site says:
"Still the most interesting thing about Madison is her involvement with the villain Clayface. Madison is eventually cast to remake a classic film that originally starred B-list movie star Basil Karlo, an actor not handling his aging very gracefully. Naturally Kalo is beyond pissed about the remake, and decides to start murdering all of the people involved, until Batman intervenes. Who knows if this storyline would turn up in the film, but the Clayface-Julie Madison connection seems promising.
I know these rumors are a little heartbreaking for Catwoman fans, but this totally backs up our previous guess that Clayface would turn up in this film. Plus the vain-actor version of Clayface is just dying for the gritty Nolan touch. This storyline is almost too perfect in its timeliness, with all the remakes running rampant in Hollywood."

this rumor still doesn't mean shit unless someone with credibility actually looks into it and verifies it. Right now it looks like it's just everyone repeating what comicbookmovie said, which is the same way all the other goofy TDKR rumors started and spread as well.
Time for another big update:
So that whole rumor of Nolan looking for two actresses, one to be a love interest of Wayne, and another, which I'm rather glad is fake, a love interest for Gordon (even though he's married and has a kid. Apparently he had an affair at one point in the comic or something) turned out to be half right. Nolan is searching for two female leads and one is a new love interest for Batman. The other one besides Wayne's love interest is going to be for none other than the villain, which makes me wonder now what exactly Tom Hardy's role in this film is going to be, although I suppose they could do two villains again. Anyways, here's the list of candidates for the two roles:
Rachel Weisz
Naomi Watts
Blake Lively
Natalie Portman
Anne Hathaway
Keira Knightley
So the new question now is what will the female villain be? Catwoman is obviously the most popular suggested role, and the other one people have been suggesting is Talia Al Gul, who is apparently Ras Al Gul's daughter in the comics (Ras being the bad guy from Batman Begins). Just have to wait and see now.

Harley quinn being pissed at dead joker ?
I don't really like Harley or Talia. Harley is just the Joker as a chick, and Talia would just be dumb. SURPRISE HE HAD A DAUGHTER AFTER ALL out of nowhere, idk. And Catwoman has been done before, twice. What other female villains are there in the batman series? Besides the woman ventriloquist/clayface because I seriously doubt he'd go with something like those two, and besides Poison Ivy since I don't see them re-using anything from Batman and Robin.
They could probably pull off croc realistically; in the graphic novel "joker" we was basically a giant black cannibal with a skin disease. Only problem is he doesn't seem like a big-time villain; more of just a henchman

The Joker in that comic was far more brutal than in The Dark Knight , I wonder what it would be like if the TDK's joker was as sick.
but yes 'Joker' had The Riddler as well, which was an interesting take.
Poison Ivy would be pretty hawt.
