Yeah I know but there's no excuse for Bane losing his unique fighting style.
What did you think of Anne in the end Rusty?
[sp]Because all of that pain completely removed any semblance of rational thought and made him into a pissed off machine of death that wasn't thinking?[/sp]
i literally can't stop listening to the soundtrack

[sp]Yeah, and he demolished a fucking concrete pillar. What's not to like?[/sp]
i want the half in the bag review to be up already
[sp]I liked the second fight because you saw a lot of emotion. Bane goes beserk and starts wildly swinging.[/sp] I'm such a fanboy but I thought it was amazing
Sadly I'm pretty sure Nolan said he wouldn't be making more batman films, however a new superman is in the works. Of course this also means some other hotshot director will probably keep making more batman films, and they will probably be shit.
I'm well aware but this is Hollywood and as they've done several times before with these Superhero films they're using them to set up characters for other films even if they can't get the same director to work on them. They tend to milk the franchises.
Nolan doesn't want to make another movie presumably because he feels he's closed the Dark Knight well (which he has) but y'know Hollywood don't really give a fuck they're gonna [sp]make a film with Blake[/sp] bcos money
I really like this interpretation of Bane. Compared to say the comics and other movies, this version seemed more interesting to me. [sp]Plus, rather than handwaving his strength as a "wonder drug", they explain it as being purely training, and pain numbing drugs that are constantly fed into his system. Which is much more plausible, and doesn't make him pathetic once the drugs are removed. Well, if he didn't have debilitating pain anyway.[/sp] It's a shame about whatever effect the applied to his voice, it did make him quite hard to understand at times.

This version of the batman series is done. it's gonna be rebooted next to help set up the justice league movie (fuck everything). It's dumb as shit but i'd rather that then a forced cross-over/spinoff. [sp]They're gonna want batman, not robin blake, to help sell tickets for justice league, so yeah, they're gonna have to reboot[/sp]

this fucking music made this part so intense, i loved it.
It's cringing reading some of your guys posts. It's like you didn't listen to the dialogue.

At first I was against a quick Batman reboot. But after Dark Knight Rises has finished the series I'm not too fussed. That trilogy will always be the gritty grounded Batman. The reboot will likely be more comic-y. I'm expecting something in tone to Arkham games. I'd like that. And I'd still have my Dark Knight trilogy when I want my realism again.
What's your favourite film out of this trilogy?
Mine would be The Dark Knight Rises.
Dark Knight. I did like Dark Knight Rises but Dark Knight literally had me wondering what was going to happen every second. Here that only really happened when [sp]Gordon was in peril. I was honestly worried he'd die and sat right up to the edge of my seat[/sp]
What's your favourite film out of this trilogy?

Hgh. I can't possibly answer that question. There are parts about each movie that stand out... Begins, I felt, had the best pacing and structure. TDK had the greatest villain, obviously. TDKR was thematically the most impressive, with its apocalyptic, sweeping tone.
How can you think that the first fight between Batman and Bane sucked?
I think we watched different fights. Yes, I agree it was intense watching batman get his ass kicked and seeing the guys squick because they know batman is going to lose badly, but the back breaking sucked. I expected his back to actually bend a little.
Another thing, wasn't the batsuit supposed to be able to stop knives? Or did he just get it in a seam?

Gotta admit, the back break was a bit bad, it could have done with more movement rather than Bale planking on the knee. But the fight was still pretty good for the "fall" part of the story.
I still liked the Dark Knight just a little bit more. The scenes with Batman and the Joker in the same room were just plain amazing, and overall I think Ledger was a slightly more memorable than Bane. [sp]Probably because of the last 5 minutes or so with Bane where he suddenly isn't the leader and gets a really lame "death". That just really killed a lot of my excitement in the movie, because every scene with Bane before that was incredible.[/sp]
There are other reasons too, but frankly both films are so good that it doesn't really matter. I probably would've liked this one more, just that one damn scene really got to me.
was anybody actually surprised when Miranda [sp]turned out to be Talia Al Ghul[/sp]? Even though her actress said she wasn't playing her, I instantly knew it was her as soon as she opened up her mouth and said that thing about clean renewable energy.
I was. I knew the character was going to be in the movie, but I had completely forgotten and didn't even think about it. What did she say about clean renewable energy?
I knew it as soon as [sp]they had the sex scene with the mark on her back.[/sp]
Know those dumb lackies that are told to not kill somebody and just guard them that the audience are meant to think "GOD YOU'RE SO DUMB YOU'LL REGRET THAT". [sp]That's Bane in the end and it's a damn shame[/sp]

[sp]But he had a sawn-off against Batman's head, ready to pull the trigger.[/sp]

no i don't, elaborate
Was anyone else [sp]not surprised at all with Robin's reveal? I mean, I figured it out as soon as he pieced together who Batman was and revealed that he was an orphan. I thought it was pretty obvious from that point on, especially since he got so much screen time.[/sp]

[sp]That bit alone gave quite a bit away, but also his reaction to shooting some of Bane's goons, his fascination with Batman, how eager he was, etc. All built up to give it away before the move was even half over I felt. Some of the bigger twists were a big obvious.[/sp]
