The heck is that suppose to be?
The heck is that suppose to be?
I had to look at the image name to figure it out lol but apparently it's a mask from the court of owls, some bad guy group from the comics.
No it wasn't .
I didn't see anyone get out of it, and she hopped into an empty driver's seat.
God as my witness, I WILL own one of these:

God dammit I wish I could have gone to SDCC...
I was there, I could never find where people where getting them.
Awesome? Yes
hard to understand? Yes
Usually i don't need subtitles for English movies, but when bane was speaking i was looking more to the subtitles than the actual movie.
he spoke clear as day i don't understand how people had problems understanding it
The heck is that suppose to be?
It's a mask from the Court of Owls, this shadow-y aluminati-type group of Gotham's upper-crust who run everything.
It was a recent arc in the comics and it kicked total ass.
he spoke clear as day i don't understand how people had problems understanding it
Some have been saying they could hear it better at IMAX but I could hear it just fine. Then again I've been able to hear him fine even before they made him voice over parts.
i saw it at imax and then again at non imax
at no point was bane hard to understand
unless your brain is as complex as a rock
What a lovely, lovely voice.
I think it was pointed out in the Red Letter Media review, but it was like no matter where Bane was in the scene, his voice was always the most prominent. It was never distorted (beyond what it was by itself) and it was always louder than pretty much anything else in the scene.
And probably that's why it was so terrifying.
Watched this movie yesterday, it's awesome, just as good as the Dark Knight (imo). I still didn't understand what happened to Bane and why is he wearing a mask?

Supposedly, they will be the villains in the Batman reboot.
When I first heard Bane's voice, I thought to myself, "wait what, isn't Sean Connery retired?". Then I realized he wasn't doing the whole "sh" thing.
I had no problems understanding what he said. Everything was crystal clear.
Especially since they made his voice louder than every single other sound in the whole movie.
Major plothole and impossibility in the movie
[sp] Plothole 1: How the hell did Bruce Wayne manage to get back to Gotham City from India in just one day without any money, transportation and direction out of there?
Plothole 2: How did Bruce Wayne manage to sneak into Gotham without having half the USA knowing his return,
Plothole 3: At the end of the Movie, was Alfred hallucinating or was Bruce really was alive and was in the cafe with Selina in Italy?
Plothole 4: Was Bane planning to comiit suicide along with the rest of Gotham if he intended to have the reactor explode at the end of the month?
Impossibility 1: How could it be possible for almost the entire Police force be trapped underground with no way out? Certainly there is some one hole or tunnel that is not bombed to hell. In fact, couldn't the policemen dig their way out by picking out the the rubbles out one by one?
Impossibility 2: If the fushion reactor core exploded in the middle of the sea, won't it irradiated the ocean of Gotham and harming the environment there?
[/sp]

[sp]I don't see how thats a plot hole, considering that its explained that he secretly added the autopilot to the Bat, meaning that he did survive.[/sp]

[sp]1) According to the TV and lines said by some characters, Bruce had approximately two months to return to Gotham.
2) In Batman Begins, Bruce was trained by the League of Shadows who, themselves, managed to infiltrate Gotham to prepare for their strike on the city. Also in that film, Alfred mentions that Bruce's great-great-grandfather used the underground passages beneath Wayne Manor to secretly transport free slaves to safety. It is possible that Bruce used these passages to return to Gotham.
3) It is believed to be real.
4) Yes, he and Talia would become martyrs for the League.[/sp]
Plothole 3:[sp] At the end of the Movie, was Alfred hallucinating or was Bruce really was alive and was in the cafe with Selina in Italy?[/sp]
[sp]Alfred told him pretty specifically about where he spent his vacation and what he dreamed about every day he was there, that he would see Bruce sitting there at the restaurant(or was it café?)... they'd look at each other, they wouldn't say anything, but they'd both know that he has moved on from his life as the Batman.
Right before this scene, we find out that Bruce managed to fix the auto-pilot to the ship, which everyone though was broken. So the whole of Gotham and anyone who'd ever wish him or his close ones any harm thinks Batman died in that explosion, but he wasn't really in the ship when the explosion went off.[/sp]
I loved the ending, it felt very satisfying.

[sp] Plothole 1: How the hell did Bruce Wayne manage to get back to Gotham City from India in just one day without any money, transportation and direction out of there?[/sp]
[sp]The time lapse within the film can be a bit confusing, but if you listen they do explain the amount of time that has passed between scenes. So, Bruce didn't literally arrive in Gotham the day after he got out of the prison.[/sp]
[sp]Plothole 2: How did Bruce Wayne manage to sneak into Gotham without having half the USA knowing his return,[/sp]
[sp]Indeed. I think the point to make is that how he got back is not as important as what he came back to do. I mean, we could spend some five, ten or fifteen minutes showing Bruce Wayne stow away on a plane or ship or something; but with everything else that needed to get wrapped up in the film and the length almost three hours as it is, I think it can be overlooked to some extent.[/sp]
[sp]Plothole 3: At the end of the Movie, was Alfred hallucinating or was Bruce really was alive and was in the cafe with Selina in Italy?[/sp]
[sp]No, the whole scene was to show that Bruce Wayne and Selena Kyle were able to move on together. Bruce lives a life without Batman, Selena leaves her life of crime and fills the void in Bruce's life that Rachel Dawes left when she died, and Alfred sees that Bruce is alive and well. When Alfred explains the fantasy toward the beginning, it is foreshadowing this.[/sp]
[sp]Plothole 4: Was Bane planning to comiit suicide along with the rest of Gotham if he intended to have the reactor explode at the end of the month?[/sp]
[sp]Most likely, given how dedicated they were to the League of Shadows and its goals. Or perhaps if it were not for Batman's interference they would have boarded a helicopter or something and fled before it exploded.[/sp]
[sp]Impossibility 1: How could it be possible for almost the entire Police force be trapped underground with no way out? Certainly there is some one hole or tunnel that is not bombed to hell. In fact, couldn't the policemen dig their way out by picking out the the rubbles out one by one?[/sp]
[sp]It's unlikely that every single officer in Gotham was in there (In one scene I believe someone mentions that Bane's men are hunting down any cops-- which would mean there are still some out on the streets). However, a majority of policemen were involved in the raid. As for picking themselves out of the rubble... the debris blocking the entrances were giant concrete slabs so I doubt it. Besides, there was that one opening that John Blake tried helping some police out of.[/sp]
[sp]Impossibility 2: If the fushion reactor core exploded in the middle of the sea, won't it irradiated the ocean of Gotham and harming the environment there?[/sp]
[sp]How is this an impossibility? It's just a consequence of detonating a nuclear device. It's likely that it will happen, but I don't see how [and why] the movie would make mention of it seeing as it would be an issue they would encounter down the line.
Besides, it's either that or bomb the whole freaking city. Lesser of two evils.

Wait I just realised this
[sp]
Bane is kinda old
Let's assume he was 18 when Ra's came to the pit. That scene occurs 30 years before Batman Begins and 38 years before The Dark Knight Rises.
He's at least 50+[/sp]

[sp]The flashback scene occurs 30 years before The Dark Knight Rises, not Batman begins.[/sp]
[sp]That still makes him ~48 since there's 12 years between Begins and Rises I think? 4 between Begins and TDK and 8 between TDK and TDKR
Which is plausible I'd say[/sp]

The amount of time between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight is a little ambiguous. Where did you learn that there's four years between those films?
I'm pretty sure they mention exactly for how long Bruce has been a recluse/how long it's been since Dent died.
wait shit i misread what you said
The amount of time between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight is a little ambiguous. Where did you learn that there's four years between those films?
Dark Knight
"Let’s turn the clocks back. A year ago, these cops and lawyers wouldn’t dare cross any of you." - The Joker
He then goes on to elaborate he knows it's because of "The Batman". It's not four years, it's just a year.
[editline]29th July 2012[/editline]
It's then eight years between Dark Knight and Dark Knight rises. So technically Batman did everything in 9 years and was only around for a year.

I think I remember hearing 8 years somewhere in the dragged out dialogue. Totally forgettable, just like the film.
Watched this movie yesterday, it's awesome, just as good as the Dark Knight (imo). I still didn't understand what happened to Bane and why is he wearing a mask?
The movie was a bit confusing about it but here's what happened in a nutshell.
[sp]Bane was a prisoner born in the prison, who then met Talia who was also born in the prison and protected her after her mother got killed. Then after a riot that happened for unknown reasons (probably the prisoners finding out about Talia being a female), Bane decided to help Talia escape, but got mauled by the entire prison for it. After Talia Escaped, she came back with the Shadow League and gave him the mask which gives him a constant dose of painkillers.
It's unclear what sort of injury put him in such a state of pain they had to use a permanent mask. He probably got his jaw destroyed, several nerves damaged, nose destroyed, etc. We see him several times bare torso so he probably only got badly injured at the head.[/sp]
[sp]The doctor in the prison said that he had extreme injuries mixed with a plague that was spreading through the prison[/sp]
