[sp]It was pretty alright, he was portrayed in a way that did feel pretty fitting and not as cringeworthy as Robin sometimes can feel... However, I still felt that the final reveal of his real name felt terribly cheesy.[/sp]
[sp]Would've preferred if she just called him Mr Grayson or something.[/sp]
[sp]But that would imply he's going to become Robin. The idea of the reveal is that he IS and always has been Robin. The last scene is leading to Robin becoming Batman which is exactly what happened in the comics after Batman faked his death[/sp]

Fuck that, he's just shares the name with the character. He's totally not the character at all

[sp] but in the end it's him taking over the mantle for Bruce, hence him finding the batcave[/sp]
The whole point of this series is that it's a new take on the Batman franchise. Nolan has taken artistic license with just about everything. And in his world, instead of [sp]Batman having a sidekick called Robin who dresses up a well, Batman has a policeman 'sidekick' named Robin. Both these characters are Batman's successor.[/sp]

I hope you know I read both of those lines thinking they were different.
I am very tired and that is a cruel thing to do to me.
[sp]The chalk drawing used in the film[/sp]http://wac.450f.edgecastcdn.net/80450F/screencrush.com/files/2012/06/tdkr-soundtrack.jpg
[sp]looks more like an upside down phoenix than a bat, which ties in with rising out of ashes and all that symbolic stuff. I wonder if that's intentional.[/sp]
Not really spoilers but I'm being careful
[sp]I've noticed a missing scene. Remember the part where catwoman was supposed to ride the bike out of the building, and crashed into the imax camera?[/sp]
And my favourite part is still the [sp]police chase[/sp]. So fucking epic.
My favorite part was when [sp]He turns around, Catwoman disappears, then he says "So that's what that feels like" as he's standing there alone, staring at nothing.[/sp]
There's something in his voice like "Dammit, I'm the Batman, I can't let people be pulling that shit on me!"

You should URL that
I personally could see Joseph Gordon rocking the boy wonder.

That actually looks pretty ballin'.
I reckon Nolan could pull off a Robin/Nightwing movie.

JGL would need to bulk up a lot if he were going to do that.

I saw it today, the audience actually had a few chuckles for that joke.

Seems pretty bulked for me.
One thing that keeps bugging me (ending spoilers): [sp]How did Batman survive the explosion? The movie showed him still sitting in the VTOL like 5 seconds before the explosion[/sp]
Auto-pilot was fixed
[sp]The movie showed him still sitting in the VTOL like 5 seconds before the explosion [/sp]
My guess is that [sp]the whole cockpit ejected before the Bat left the shore.[/sp]
Yeah it does have a [sp]shot of Batman in the cockpit like 5 seconds beforehand. Either he ejected out into the water, or the entire cockpit it out.
I think they left it ambiguous for the same reason they left how he got back to Gotham ambiguous. It's because he's the goddamn Batman[/sp]
Saw it, loved it. Bane was just magnificent. Tom Hardy did a fucking awesome job at it.
I have a question, is rape at all present in this film? Because I find that subject far to uncomfortable to deal with in a cinema (or home viewing for that matter).
uuhh... no
[editline]6th August 2012[/editline]
rape is a huge part of drama though you should probably get used to it in movies

Huh, I asked one person and said it was implied or indicated. But I check TV Tropes with spoiler-shielding eyes and found nothing of the sort.
there is definitely no implied rape in batman
there is definitely no implied rape in batman
Right, ok, thanks.
Why would there be rape, implied or otherwise, in Batman? Even though these aren't 1:1 adaptations of the comic storylines, I doubt there'd be any form of rape. The media would probably throw a hissy fit over it ("OH MY GOD WHY IS THERE RAPE IN A BATMAN THING IT'S A KIDS THING!!!")

Instant drama, just add rape.
