Why would there be rape, implied or otherwise, in Batman? Even though these aren't 1:1 adaptations of the comic storylines, I doubt there'd be any form of rape. The media would probably throw a hissy fit over it ("OH MY GOD WHY IS THERE RAPE IN A BATMAN THING IT'S A KIDS THING!!!")
To be fair, [SP]Killing Joke almost went there, or maybe it did.[/SP] Not 100 percent sure though.
Well, those spoiler tags aren't very reassuring.
Huh, I asked one person and said it was implied or indicated. But I check TV Tropes with spoiler-shielding eyes and found nothing of the sort.
They're an idiot or trying to troll your ass in that case.

Or read too far into something.

He's talking about a certain comic series. There is no rape or implied rape in TDKR at all.

They'd have to be fucking crazy to read too far into something when there are 0 implications at all.

Ohh, Ok.
Sorry about the spoiler, I didn't think it would cause that much confusion.

It's fine, I'll be leaving now.
Does anyone have the music for the trailer?
I've checked the OST, it just sounds like a mix of [sp]On thin ice[/sp] and [sp]Why do we fall[/sp]
Well not completely.
It's a longer variation of something that has been around since TDK, and you can hear a snippet of it in "fear will find you".

^ Actual released version of the music, by Hans Zimmer, obviously without SFX

rape is a huge part of drama though you should probably get used to it in movies
if you've been raped, or been close to someone who's been raped, it's not easy to just "get used to it".
if you've been raped, or been close to someone who's been raped, it's not easy to just "get used to it".
True. I was close to someone who was raped, and I couldn't get used to it with all the fucking whining.
I have a question, is rape at all present in this film? Because I find that subject far to uncomfortable to deal with in a cinema (or home viewing for that matter).
You're a pretty emotionally delicate person compared to when we were kids and you used to kick be in the balls and abuse me a lot.
[sp]Out of all my friends I'm the only one who seemed to like the little hints at Robin in this movie, like when batman was talking about how if you're going to work alone you need a mask or whatever, when he was talking to him, and at the end when we found out he was named robin and found the cave. I thought it was a cool thing to put in there, personally.[/sp]
it isn't [sp]robin[/sp] though, that's just his name. Not [sp]the character robin[/sp]

you should watch Game of Thrones
I just watched this at the theater
it's pretty good but holy shit three hours

well he didnt make the situation clear maybe no rape has ever happened to or around him he just dont like it in films
If Heath Ledger was alive would you have liked to have seen him in the film, assuming that everything else is pretty much the same.
If Heath Ledger was alive would you have liked to have seen him in the film, assuming that everything else is pretty much the same.
Yes and no.
People have already had a ton of ideas of how they could have gotten him in the movie.
but I'd like to think that The Joker was such an extreme case that they had to put him somewhere outside of Gotham.

in the same way the scarecrow was cameoed in TDK
Did anyone else notice how a lot of the sound effects in the movie were at the same pace as the "rise" chant? Like punches, shots etc, even when it wasnt playing?
Idk if its just my imagination

I recall one scene where Bruce's breathing sounded like it
Just saw the film, I like the previous 'Dark Knight' Better. There was a fair bit of action missing compared with the last film and I just hated Bane (I've never really like Bane at all, really) he just couldn't come close to the Joker. To me most of it was Bruce Wayne trying escape from a hole in the ground, until he realises; "Wait a minute, I've been trapped down a hole before", I couldn't understand what Bane was saying half the time. But that's just my opinion, don't take it to heart. And why was most of the cast of Inception in it, are they Nolan's new BFFs?
Sorry guys, I know you don't agree but I didn't like this film as much as the previous one.

He is supposed to be the only inmate left in Arkham Asylum or something apparently.
And why was most of the cast of Inception in it, are they Nolan's new BFFs?
Since when it is a bad thing? If they are doing fine with the director, and they act well, I don't see any problem here. Especially when it's common thing in Hollywood.
Some directors prefer to work with the same people, they know them and how they work better. Plus it's a fantastic cast anyway. Christian Bale and Michael Caine also were in The Prestige, so Bale has been in 4 and Caine 5 Nolan films.
Stellar cast so I don't see why it matters. If anything it's a good thing- they can work together better since they know how eachother all work, so things on set will be smoother, leading to a better final product.

Actually there was sort of an implied rape scene. [sp]Talia's mom being dragged away, no?[/sp]
[sp]My one issue with it is that the talia twist could have been less obvious if it had been a different actress than Cotillard. Her last big role was Mal, where she was antagonist.[/sp]
just my two cents
The joker was planned to be in this movie but it was a very small, jokey cameo.

There was also another rape scene. [sp]The first fight with Bane.[/sp]

I'm just asking, don't get upset.
