Actually there was sort of an implied rape scene. [sp]Talia's mom being dragged away, no?[/sp]
i did not get rape vibes from that, just murder vibes
i did not get rape vibes from that, just murder vibes
Come on now, this is a prison full of men who probably haven't seen a woman in a while. What do you think they're going to do to her?
i dunno man all i'm saying is that's not where my mind went during both times i saw the scene
i can kinda see how one could think that
but no, it was acted like murder, not rape
Thinking back, it does seem like the only reason they [sp]attacked Talia and her mum was because they were women. Which, in a prison full of savage men, basically means rape.
Although it could have been because she was the daughter of the warlord, who imprisoned them.[/sp]
There was also another rape scene. [sp]The first fight with Bane.[/sp]
that would probably have broken him

[sp]They clearly dragged her away to do things to her.[/sp]
TDKR costume designer details a deleted Bane Backstory scene
http://www.slashfilm.com/read-bane-origin-sequence-cut-the-dark-knight-rises/
The thing that you should have seen during that sequence is [Bane] being injured in his youth. So one of the fundamental things about his costume is that he has this scar from the back injury. Even if he hasn’t got the bulletproof vest on, he still has to wear the waist belt and the braces. In that scene in the prison, where he’s learning to fight the same way Batman learned to fight, he’s wearing an early version of his waist belt. It’s showing support, but it’s not the finished one he eventually wears. He’s also wearing an early version of his gas mask, all glued together … If you look at the film, unless they’ve cut it—and I’m sure they haven’t—there’s a whole early section for Tom Hardy where he’s fighting and being taunted by people. He’s got chains on him, and he’s standing on a wooden thing while people are attacking him. And in that scene, he’s wearing a much more ragged, primitive version of the mask.
who knows if we'll ever see that, though. Nolan DVD's never seem to include deleted scenes.
nolan's home releases suck pretty bad
but that might only seem that way because jackson spoils us
I think the ending would have been more effective if we didn't see [sp] Bruce at the table with Selina. Just seeing Alfred's face would have been enough. [/sp]
I suggested this and people went all "OHHH WE DON'T NEED ANOTHER INCEPTION". Like Inception invented the cliff hanger.
And this would be a lot less vague than Inceptions ending. [sp]If Alfred looked up and smiled the majority of people would figure that he's smiling coz he's seen Bruce living happy.[/sp]

People in my cinema cheered when [sp]Bruce appeared on-screen. I doubt there would've been the same emotional reaction from me or the others if they had just shown Alfred smiling.[/sp]

Nah, it still would have been lame, even without the comparison to Inception. This is the last movie in the trilogy. Closure is nice to have. Ambiguity does not instantly make things better.
Also, [sp]I think ending with Alfred looking up and smiling at the camera for seemingly no reason would have been unintentionally hilarious.[/sp]

America? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6y8Bq6I5OjU (watch out, heavy spoilers from TDKR)
I mean all jokes aside, it's a bit annoying when you cannot hear a movie because everyone is cheering.

The reaction would have been utter confusion. I think after 3 movies of drama, tragedy, and death, seeing it end with [sp]Alfred on vacation, looking up at the camera with a big grin on his face wouldn't imply "oh boy bruce is alive", so much as "HA HA, ALL WENT ACCORDING TO PLAN"[/sp].
The whole Ra's al Ghul pronunciation thing is addressed in this.

Well, there was nothing to hear at that part anyway, so...
Also, I personally like hearing the rest of the audience's reactions to certain parts of movies. People cheer and clap to express their mutual enjoyment of a movie, that's all. I see how it can be annoying for some, but I like it sometimes.

I see
The earth is also flat, not round.
A common mistake.
Marifran O'Neil (The wife of Ra's Al Ghul creator Dennis O'Neil) had this to say when Batman Begins was released
We had our daughter check at the Language Dept. of UCLA and they said it was "Raysh" - with a kind of rolling of the "r" sound at the beginning of the word.I wish the movie people had checked with us.
Some cool wallpapers for you guys.

They're both hi-res
So, this film totally grew on me for some reason, I liked it when I saw it but I don't know.
I just think it's better than what I originally thought.
I'd really like to go see it again while it's still playing. I feel like there's a lot of things you don't really notice on your first screening that the second enhances upon.
I might be going to see my second viewing this friday.
Some friends haven't seen it yet.

Is this old or has the costume designer actually not seen the film? Because that is clearly not in it.
When told that that sequence was indeed cut from the movie, Hemming said:
Well that's an awful shame, but I suppose you have to cut things. I won't elaborate on it too much, because it isn't in the film, but there was another section that showed you why he had the mask and where it came from.
He said that people start cheering and clapping every time Joker showed up on screen. At the pencil magic trick they started laughing before he even did it, so no one could hear a word from there.
I'm sure Heath Ledger appreciates all his fan support.

Yeah, I suppose it can get obnoxious when people are overzealous about it, especially if they start reacting before or long after the event even happens. Personally, I've never really run into that problem, so I haven't been bothered by this sort of thing.
ummm
I'm not sure what version of marvel you're reading but the current x-men/avengers fight has seven people that have the phoenix force aka the strongest fucking power in the OMNIVERSE kicking the crap out of each other.
I suggest you read tower of babel and identity crisis before making snap judgements on either universe.
years late i know but isn't this a discussion of the cinematic universes
