The Dark Knight Rises - By Christopher Nolan. ->Use spoiler tags<-

I've never seen a movie have a in-your-face brute-villain be constantly there, yet feel like one of those films where the villain is actually an unknown, phantom-like evil tugging at everything behind the scenes as with an indirect presense. It's insane. They make two opposites meet and work. It's like Atmosphere thinner in such a consentrated form that it actually thickens the atmosphere... If that makes sense? It's saltwater that is so salt that it's fresh. It's poo that is so shit that it's in fact chokolade.

It's like Chtulhu meets angry bull and creates some kind of Voldemort syndrome, yet with more screentime.

According to my source, there is talk among the highest levels of the
uppermost echelon of the Department of Homeland Security, which he
describes as effectively under the control of Barack Hussein Obama.
During this call, he said that the DHS is actively preparing for massive
social unrest inside the United States. He then corrected himself,
stating that “a civil war” is the more appropriate term. Certain
elements of the government are not only expecting and preparing for it,
they are actually facilitating it,” stated my source.
“The DHS takes their marching orders from the Obama administration,
from Obama himself, but mostly from his un-appointed czars. And Jarrett,
especially Valerie Jarrett. Don’t think for a minute that the
administration is doing anything to stabilize events in the U.S. They
are revolutionaries, and revolutionaries thrive on chaos,” he added.
My source stated that he has not seen things this bad since he began
working within DHS. “It’s like they [DHS agency heads] don’t care about
what the American people see or feel about what the DHS agencies are
doing. They figure that if the average American will put up with being
“sexually groped and nuked” just to fly, they’ll accept almost anything.
“That’s why their actions are becoming more overt. “It’s in your face
and the brass actually chuckle about it” said my source.

Finally saw the movie today, I don't know how I made it a month without getting it spoiled either, but I'm so glad.
I loved it. I'm not sure if it's better than The Dark Knight yet, I'll probably have to let it settle in my mind over the next few days before I can decide. First feature film I've seen in IMAX, too, and that was awesome - the sound was so good, when Batman and Bane were fighting every hit sound effect felt like I was getting punched in the chest.
This is the first time in years I remember feeling really pumped while sitting in the cinema - [sp]Batman and Bane fighting in the middle of the mercenary/police battle was the high point for me[/sp].
I finally got to go see it today. I'm so glad, it was awesome.
My only question is [sp]why did Wayne fake his death? Is it because he wanted to be remembered as a symbolic martyr?[/sp]
Also, [sp]what happened to The Joker?[/sp]

For some reason throughout that fight all I could think of was how this reminded me of Gangs of New York. That and the scene where Selina Kyle is disguised as a maid

[sp]He was done being Batman, he found someone to take over and he wanted to just live a normal life.
In the novelization it just says Joker disappeared during the chaos.[/sp]
Okay I forgot to post it, but I will now. I have one beef with this film.
When Bane reads out [sp]Gordon's confessions about Harvey, the speech sounds like it was written by a 12 year old. It doesn't explain what Harvey did at all, and for a two page script it literally lasted about 4 lines. I was a bit surprised, I would have thought if it was a legitimate confession he was going to read in front of all the important people of Gotham it would be a bit more detailed and well written.[/sp]

[sp]maybe it was well written but bane was just making it sound more juvenile in order to one up harvey and gordon and everyone involved[/sp]

[sp]Or it was an abridged version[/sp]
It was the way bane read it, he was being very condescending. If you imagine the same lines said by Gordon you can see there really isn't a problem with it.
Finally saw this movie today, I'll let myself settle down a bit before judging it but holy shit.
this movie was such a let down

The exit is right next to where you came.
So, a friend of mine works at the local cinema.
Take a look at what he just gave me for free:

Just need to find a good place to hang them. I want the RISE ones next to each other, but I don't think I got enough room for that.

Put them on the ceiling above your bed so first thing you see when you wake up is "RISE"
I got this one by Olly Moss

Just got back from seeing it a second time. The movie was cool, yet it was still strangely underwhelming to me. I can't put my finger on exactly why, but it's probably because, out of the three movies, it feels the least like a Batman movie.

That's fucking brilliant :v:

Yeah, he didn't do much "theatrical" stuff. Except for that one thing near the end with the bridge.
Ahh finally nailed my only gripe with this movie. Despite it being highly enjoyable it didn't feel like I was watching Batman.
Still highly enjoyed it though. HIGHLY.
i kinda felt like batman was a supporting character while bane was the protagonist
kinda
You have a strange definition of protagonist.
I suppose in a sense you could view Bane as a protagonist with Batman was the antagonist. Not really but sort of, yea.
i kinda felt like batman was a supporting character while bane was the protagonist

No. Batman was in it a lot more than Bane, he just wasn't doing his typical Batman shit.
Yeah, he didn't do much "theatrical" stuff. Except for that one thing near the end with the bridge.
Most of the theatricality and deception was done by Bane.

Think before you post.

No u.
It's like the trademark of this series. You pay to see a batman film, but in reality you get Joker or Bane movies. Which is just fine.

I really wouldn't go that far, it's just some movies like to give their bad guys some depth. Batman is still the star of the show.
