They could've just said Joker killed him before he got caught.

im sure someone would have easily poked a hole in that story, the joker had hostages who could've been like yeah he kidnapped us around 3 and we could hear him talking all the way up until we got rescued, the time the timing would never match up. you can time of death bodies remember

he had a really big ray gun on top of that building that he aimed at Dent and fired. After he fired it Batman threw bat grenades at it and it exploded. Hostages would know no different.

TECHNICALLY Batman did kill Harvey Dent

Batman's a dick. He jumped like a million stories with Rachel and ensured she survived. Yet a 3 storey drop and Batman fucking lets him die.

Avengers is just "look at all these guys on screen." If they threw Avengers out without doing all those individual movies before it, everyone would have just called it another silly summer blockbuster.

If all those characters hadn't existed before everyone would have called it another silly blockbuster. Well duh. One of the most impressive things about Avengers is it brings together so many characters. From the moment Iron Man 1 was released it was all intended to come together in Avengers, the plot has been building up in the background for half a decade. Plus Avengers had a plot that perfectly suited what it was. If Joss wanted he could've wrote The Dark Knight style script, but it wouldn't have worked at all. As Robert Downey Jr said "It's not the Dark Knight we're doing here". Comparing it is so stupid. You wouldn't compare War Horse to The Inbetweeners movie. Both great movies, totally different.
