The Dark Knight is far from perfect.
Believe me, it's got it's share of stupid shit.
Like how Bruce and Rachel totally survive falling off a skyscraper and landing on a taxi hard neough to cave the roof in, but they're not injured in the slightest.
And then it just goes to the next scene while the Joker is still in the party (I guess he just got bored waiting for Batman to come back and left).
Go back and watch the scene again, his cape was half-deployed and slowed his fall.
He also threw the mob boss off a 3-storey drop in such a way he wouldn't die and would only break his legs.
Basically Batman likes buildings and gravity but not Harvey Dent.
[sp]Batman blew the shit out of the truck driver near the end of TDKR, while in the Bat. Doesn't like truck drivers either[/sp]

Haha, on BBC news the other month they were going on about how that wouldn't work in real life and that it wouldn't slow your fall. Like they ran out of news or something and picked on comic-book science.
Only video I can find:

That was clever what you did.
How did I never notice that's Rutger Hauer

Might be the suit then, he did drop down onto scarecrows van/car (cant remember which) in the beginning and crushed it, and he was fine after that.

He still fell SEVERAL stories, hitting a solid, metal taxicab hard enough to cave in the roof.
It doesn't matter how much kevlar you've got on, you're dead as shit.
[sp]Still an awesome movie though.[/sp]

Hey, i know it wouldnt work, but i also read that he would die upon landing from gliding anyway.

And Nolans uncle plays Douglas Fredericks who in the first film give the "The apple has fallen far from the tree" line to Wayne and volunteers in DKR when [sp]Bane requests a board member.[/sp]
He also appeared in some Gotham Tonight video for The Dark Knight.
TDKR managed to have decent amounts of action, solid performances across the board and the story was actually fucking intriguing. Avengers is just "look at all these guys on screen." If they threw Avengers out without doing all those individual movies before it, everyone would have just called it another silly summer blockbuster.
The Avengers gave me what I was expecting. DKR was ambitious in scope, but ultimately fell short. And I fucking hated Anne Hathaway's overacting.

I really liked Hathway. I wouldn't call it overacting.

I thought some lines sounded stupid, e.g. "[on her heels making it tough to walk] I don't know... do they? [as she cuts someone with them]"
I know it's dumb, but since everyone against Hathaway are just repeating the retarded parts of the press' issues with her and the fact that it's being repeated constantly and sounds more like people repeating second-hand witness accounts, i've started dismissing it as bandwagoning and people being unable to form their own opinions.
Most of the articles in the press are "A SOURCE TELL US HATHWAY ATE A BABY ON SET". Just some random attacking story from some undisclosed "source".
Papers and celebrity press are honestly shit bags. I saw Steve Coogan on TV with a News of The World writer and the writer genuinely didn't see the problem in making shit up and spying on peoples phone calls or looking through their rubbish. He thought it was heroic and the moral thing to do. I'm not even joking.

why arent we allowed to dislike her? why does everything negative about her have to be false?
isnt it possible people genuinely think she sucks and shes genuinely a shitty person irl?

Sure. Then back it up. It's getting stale with the same old farce about her being... "same samey" and stuff. Mostly because the same people LOVE a ton of films by Sly Standalone and Arnie Schwartzcum.
People should just Put that cookie down and not be negative. Point out why and where she's bad and in what way. Who did she kill and why is that relevant to you? if any of the answers are Because reasons, then you're being brain-numb.
Critizism and dislike of an artists method or lack of artistry is OK. But everyone is treating her as if she killed anyone. Maybe she did, because she sure as hell killed the roles of the White Queen AND Catwoman. Those were well enough.
tl;dr rusty hates Anne Hathway
I found her suitable in the movie imo
I think Hathaway was okay in that movie. She was ten thousand better than Cotillard.

[sp]"My father's work is complete... *gasp* *gasp* *dead*"[/sp]
that was some fuckin B-movie acting writing there
"acting"
she was terrible through most of the film really
SArnie Schwartzcum.

The whole catwoman character seemed to me like she was just be thrown in for publicity because Bane and Talia aren't well known villains. She didn't seem necessary at all and her relationship with Bruce didn't feel realistic in the slightest. I would have much preferred it if they didn't have her at all and used the extra time to develop Talia's character better and make her more of a villain than a shitty twist.

Actually, there wasn't a single thing that Catwoman was necessary to Batman, that couldn't be done by Blake. She was needed to [sp]present the idea of Clean Slate, and as a romantic character for Bruce, and a reason for him to forget about Rachel, throw everything away, and "die"[/sp]. In my opinion it's not so much.

[sp]Clean slate wasn't even necessary other than for her, it didn't really even come up other than as a motive for her to help. In the comics Talia is already a pretty big love interest for Bruce, it was touched on slightly in the movie but only to trick him. If I remember correctly, in the comics she genuinely loves him to the point that he is basically the only person she isn't willing to kill.[/sp]

I haven't read anything about the movie or anyone's performances or seen any media involving it, other than Joseph Gordon-Levitt's interview on Jimmy Kimmel.
Er.. and the movie itself.

These ain't the comics, at least not totally.

I know they aren't but if they are going to make major changes to a character they should make sure it is an improvement or a decent alternative first.

[sp]Wait, wasn't at the end Bruce and Selina are both using Clean Slate to start everything all over? Because if not, then wow, it really was pointless[/sp]
[sp]Yeah dude, the clean slate ended up being a get out cause for Bruce too[/sp]. I don't think Blake could have [sp]worked as a romantic interest for Bruce[/sp]. Though it would've been damn funny to see the fan backlash if he did. People always had suspicions about [sp]Batman and Robin doing some secret bumming[/sp].

It probably was but I doubt anyone would really question it if Clean Slate was never brought up throughout the film.
