the whole thing with his voice in TDK was realistic not the whole throat cancer, and i did think Bale went a little OTT, but the whole if he did his normal voice as batman he would be recognised easily by anyone with a good ear, that's why Kevin Conroy is amazing in the animated series because he hardly has to vary the Batman/Bruce voice and they sound like 2 completely different characters.
its like the same thing with Batman having armor in the movies, in the comic's its just an outfit but armor makes more sense in terms of realism, ( i guess personally i prefer the cloth ) but in the newer comics Batman is wearing armor sort of. ( his new comics coming out he has go faster stripes on his outfit -_- )
uh i'm pretty sure kevin conroy has no variation from batman to bruce
he always sounds the same
he just acts more serious as batman
I'd like a villain that hasn't been done in a film before, or one that wasn't as well known as Joker, Riddler, Penguin and Poison Ivy.
Like Batman Begins managed to use two lesser known baddies and make them into well know ones.
Hugo Strange is a great idea.

His voice is much deeper and a little grittier as Batman and more gentle as Bruce Wayne. He does change it. He doesn't have to sound like a chain smoking mutant in order to make it effective.
When my History teacher was in New York, he saw the shooting of a scene for the movie. Apparently, the Bat mobile crashes into Charging Bull statue, so he saw them create a duplicate. Pretty cool, if you ask me.
but the Batmobile is kinda....blown up.
It's the Bat-Pod now. Which I hope they keep for the next installment.
Oh god let the villan be Black Mask.

whatever changes you're hearing, it's still basically the same, and any real person who met batman and bruce would instantly realise their voices are almost identical

Looking forward. Loved The Dark Knight.
Another dumb rumor that was circulating recently got shot down last night. Some site claimed an 'inside source' said that CGI and unused scenes from The Dark Knight would be used to try and bring back the Joker for some sort of short scene. Nolan was asked yesterday and the answer was no.

So yeah, don't think we'll be seeing any of the joker in person in the next film.
villain should be Clayface
villain should be Clayface
Black mask has a better chance. why would you rate yourself?

Good. Nolan knows as well as we do that bringing the joker back would most likely be incredibly tacky, nt to mention pretty tasteless.
i liked his voice in tdk
He could tone it down a little though, it started to get ridiculous and a bit laughable.
Huh, I thought it was called Dark Knight: Rising. Or was that MGS?
Yes, that was MGS. Nice to hear they won't be cashing in on the 3D fad, and I love IMAX for its 16:9 goodness. Considering how good the IMAX scenes were in the first movie, this is likely to blow my motherfucking mind.
The Gray Ghost shall return.
No? Well, can't wait for this anyway.
FYI the goofy "movie will be filmed in New Orleans!!!" rumor that's been going on for AGES has finally been shut down.

I have never heard of this silliness. Why would it move to New Orleans?
Why would anyone assume the movie will leave Gotham? (filmed in Chicago, right?)
gotham is filmed primarily in chicago, but some new york and i think sydney as well.

tax cuts if they film there, and its what Green Lantern did.
I hope this batman film is going to be directed as well as the Dark Knight. It was non-stop joy, the entertainment value was sky-high for me. I hope they accomplish that in Dark Knight returns

Right, what would I do without you?
tax cuts if they film there, and its what Green Lantern did.
But that'd mean they'd have to change a large portion of the Gotham aesthetic. Not to mention that Green Lantern looks retarded. Honestly, that rumour just wasn't believable at all.

You show me a rumor that's believable and that makes sense, and I'll show you an "insider source" that gets no attention.

What annoyed me the most about the rumor was how many believed WB would go so out of there way to save money on the sequel to a BILLION dollar movie. This movie is going to make a fuck ton of money, don't go fucking with what Nolan wants just to save some cash.
Oh man, the series made so much money so far. After this finale movie, WB would let Nolan do what ever the fuck he wants, even it won't make a big income.
I'm hoping for some Sci-Fi thriller, like all of his non-Batman films but in the future! But never mind that for now, we have a Batman in our hands.
This movie is going to make a fuck ton of movie
On topic, I haven't been keeping track of the villain rumors but if they'll keep the pattern of the first two, it will be someone who isn't there to get Batman (like Hugo, if I remember correctly) but rather someone who wants to destroy Gotham.
Or maybe not...
Movies making movies? It's ingenious!
whoops
It's kind of hard to get a good villain for Nolan's style. I kind of wished they didn't kill off Two-Face. Black Mask would be the best choice, but I'd really like to see Hush used. He seems like a good polar opposite to Batman, and complete badass.
