I agree that Rises is definitely the worst out of the Nolan films. One thing I'll point out is they made Wayne such a cripple at the start and then they heal him in two seconds. The main idea was he was out of shape and the fucked up knee was really unnecessary. I recently realized that I actually don't consider Nolan's Batman movies to be so amazing anymore. They are great movies, TDK is top tier, but they all went too realistic and overall their tone could have been more interesting if they went a bit more sci-fi and fantastical.

I like this one a bit more than its predecessor....it had more action which I thought the last two were lacking

The Nolan trilogy is alright, TDK in particular is a good movie but I don't view it as some "art of cinema" or "masterpiece" as many critics and fans of Nolan are. Alot of the lines are kinda cheesy and overly dramatic, the movies take themselves too seriously to a point where its hilarious. The fight scenes for a comic book trilogy, are very underwhelming.

I don't really get why he stopped being Batman for however long at the start. He became Batman because his parents died, why would he stop because his almost girlfriend was killed? Surely it would just give him more reason to fight crime.

Bruce used the Dent Act as an excuse to get out of crime fighting, the retarded thing is why would Bats be that naive to believe in a law like that? Batman always has a back up plan, and this time he didn't. That's another thing too, Batman seemed to act more as a brute than a proper tactician - his first fight with Bane for instance. He just rushed right into it, that's not what Batman does. I guess they couldn't think of a reason for him to keep fighting, cause in the first two Bruce fought so he could some day settle down with his childhood friend. With Rachel out of the way nothing to shoehorn a relationship with. It also allowed them to use the Dark Knight Returns storyline, with Bruce retiring and then coming back when he's past his prime.

There was no time for stealth and tactics pre-fight, and then didn't he use some strategic maneuvers during the battle? I seem to remember him flying under a bridge and popping back up.
