Hey I have a question since I've never actually been able to read any of the Batman comics. Was Bane (or the venom he takes I guess) actually created by Poison Ivy?
no
Yeah and superman should be in this movie too!
...Who the fuck said anything about crossovers?

I thought we were posting horrible ideas for an origin story trilogy. So I followed your cue and posted superman!
Here's how I think the movie will go down:
The movie starts out with an ugly baby crying, floating down a stream in a basket.
Then Robin shows up, having murdered his parents, and declares himself the new Batman.
Poison Ivy is murdered by her boss (cameo by Christopher Walken) but re-awakens as Pamela Lillian Isley.
When Batman asks for a new piece of technology that can read the thoughts of everyone in the world through their television screens (using a patented box that goes on top of the television), God (Morgan Freeman) decides he's fed up with all of this. He destroys the planet.
Scarecrow breaks Batman's back, and Batman explodes there on the spot. Bane is home reading George Orwell's 1984.
[sp]The baby in the basket was Mr. Freeze.[/sp]

makes inception look like it was written by the guys who wrote meet the spartans! take my money
Why would that be retarded? It seems like a completely logical decision considering the direction the series is heading.
Batman Begins(the origin of Batman), The Dark Knight(the rise of Batman), and The Dark Knight Rises(the fall of Batman)
Sure, it may contradict the title but I have a strong feeling that he dies in this last installment.
Except this entire trilogy is Batman's beginnings.
The trilogy is Nolan's own unique vision of Batman and this latest one is going to be his and Bale's last Batman film.
What better way to end the arc and make it his than killing the character that started it all?
Does it really matter how long he's been Batman? It's not like he's invulnerable.
I personally wouldn't want this trilogy ending with a lame and corny epilogue detailing the rest of his life.
If Nolan said that Robin is just a baby during this timeline, it's inferred that he actually does exist. Why the fuck would he kill off Batman before Robin's even around to be his sidekick?
It isn't going to happen, and it's a terrible idea.

Pretty sure this whole trilogy is Nolan's vision of how batman STARTED off.

This post was so good, I don't even need to shell out the $12 to see Rises now.

Batman Begins was.
Movie ends with Bruce waking up. Everything happened was a dream.
First 2 movies end up being a reminiscing of Bruce. It's now the far future and he is training a teenage boy named Terry to be the next Batman

Its not hard to understand, these movies are about the FUCKING START OF HIS CAREER.
For gods sake actualy look at this stuff and think for a second, batman dying in his ORIGIN STORY TRILOGY, Is the single most fucking retarded idea i've heard yet, for batman movies atleast.
Yes, im saying your idea is below Arnold Freeze.
[editline]23rd January 2011[/editline]
Besides, when has batman EVER died besides few cartoons and "what if" scenarios?
[editline]23rd January 2011[/editline]
Hell, when he WAS thought dead, he was just traveling through time.

Maybe not death, but at least some sort of serious injury. Such as Bane breaking Batman's back.
The movie is going to suck IMO, it will definitely be no where near as good as The Dark Knight.
It'll be just as good as Batman & Robin!
:geno:

You can't really say that yet. Not much has been revealed, other than the title and a few of the casting choices.
the dark knight rises storyline idea:
batman loses his penis and spends the entire film trying to find it
and at the end he is finally reunited with his penis, and thus rises
It will only finally arises when Catwoman appears.

Eyes too. I remember someone posting a picture of her with goldfish eyes in Lmao pics thread way back in the past.
I don't think some of you understand exactly what Nolan means when he says:
I’m very excited about the end of the film, the conclusion, and what we’ve done with the characters. My brother has come up with some pretty exciting stuff. Unlike the comics, these things don’t go on forever in film and viewing it as a story with an end is useful. Viewing it as an ending, that sets you very much on the right track about the appropriate conclusion and the essence of what tale we’re telling.
WB will no doubt continue the Batman franchise, but it won't be with Bale and it won't be with Nolan; it'll be a reboot of some description, however many years down the line.
Also, Nolan's story hasn't been about an ad infinitum Batman legend; it's been about fixing Gotham. As Wayne says to Neeson in Begins, "Gotham isn't beyond saving." It's about pulling it back.
Batman's death =/= bad guys winning. His death would surely be symbolic of an end to his necessity.

Why the hell would this one be called "The Dark Knight Rises" if he's going to be falling.... nice logic there, some dumb people on the internet.
Batman never dies, stop talking about his death.
I'm not that knowledgeable on the batman universe but doesn't he die when he's really old and robin takes over as batman?
Lazarus pits. Batman is immortal. Fuck off

I woke up this morning with a bad hangover
And my penis was missing again.
This happens all the time.
It's detachable.
