Fucking hard to really tell from this quality, have to wait fro the HD version, but i wonder what that is in the background there, at the right. Looks like a person.
It's the Joker, riverstomping the earthquake that destroys Gotham.
I made a TDKR Desktop Background if anyone wants one as well.
Its current size is 1650x1080.
Its nothing out of the ordinary, just the teaser poster in Background Format.

Thank you, for making this fanboy's dream come true. Here, have an internet for your efforts
So who's the best villain according to you?
I find Two-face great, but that's just my opinion.
They didn't show the trailer for TDKR at my cinema's viewing :(
They replaced it with Breaking Dawn part 1 noooooooooo

I wish they had done more with him.

Looks like they could be grabbing their neck.

Mine favourite, too. I wished they would have made him do more and didn't kill him but what we got in TDK was still the most satisfying portrayal after the abomination in Batman Forever.
Well Harry Potter beat some record that TDK had. I hope TDKR breaks the new record.
Nolan Batman > Whiny British kids

Nolan Batman > Whiny British kids
lol it won't happen
I went to see Harry Potter today, the trailer for Batman was the best part.

Sad, the Nolan movies are actually good films. And Harry Potter is too much like Scooby Fucking Doo for me to really get into it
Welcome to Hogwarts, where everything's made up and the points don't matter
Ok ill ask it here in fear of pissing off people who do like Harry Potter, but how is the new one so much better than Deathly Hollows P1? It has the lowest score of them all. Do you think maybe its not actually that good and you're all just letting your emotions for the series you grew up with cloud your judgement? I'm sure there's ATLEAST one star wars nut that, growing up with the OT, thought Episodes 1 and 2 were good

You're not saying you dislike Scooby Doo, are you?
[editline]17th July 2011[/editline]
I enjoyed Harry Potter, and I'll probably enjoy this movie as well.

Well no I don't dislike Scooby doo but I'm just saying it irks me a little bit that Scooby and the gang / Harry never notice that pattern / cliche. It worked for the 22 minute run time and nature of SD, but for 8, 3 hour, [more] serious movies it doesn't really work for the climax of the movie.
Dude, why so pissed off?
Fast forward 100 years and I don't think that the Potter movies will be as remembered as some of Nolan's films. I don't know. I'm not really pissed, it's just I see a ton of hype and just don't get it.
If the Justin Bieber movie or a Twilight movie beat a record for a movie you think is a good film, you'd probably be a little disappointed too

Why do you care who remembers what 100 years from now? You'll be dead.
If you don't enjoy the movies, you shouldn't really care. I personally don't care that much either but since they make big bucks and I read the books as a kid, I'm kinda intrigued.

Fast forward 100 years and I don't think we'll remember shit about these, as long as we don't pass the tales along to our children.
Point is, Harry Potter and Batman has got nearly nothing in common, why are you comparing them? They're both great, so why can't it be that way for you?
I don't think Dark Knight Rises will surpass TDK's revenue.
Firstly, the MAIN reason why TDK got popular was the Joker. Now we can all say "well it's a massive fanbase so it's bound to earn double", but you've got to think that it is the mainstream that makes the money here, not the fanbase.

Just because the teaser trailer is attached to HP7? Would you comment like that for any other movie that TDKR's trailer is attached to?
If you don't like HP, just wait for the HD version to come out tomorrow online.

What? No. It's because I think TDK is a better film (based off the other Potter films) and thus deserves more money (gasp). It has to do with it breaking it's record, not TDKR trailer being shown with it. Where did you get that idea?

True, but Catwoman is a "main" character. IMO the first picked some of the least well known villains, TDKR has more well known ones. If we're basing a Batman's success off the villain that is

I think people will think more about Bane here.

I think people who are older and don't keep up with the comics will think more about Catwoman. She was in the old Adam West series / movie, and in Batman Forever

You mean Returns.
Fair enough, I accept that older audiences will appreciate it.
But you seem to forget Catwoman the movie has kind of destroyed the character a bit.

Returns sorry. And I think people are willing / going to forget the Catwoman movie (or if they remember it perhaps think its unrelated to the Batman universe. Even then it was a spinoff, it wasn't Selina Kyle). Most people aren't up-to-date on everything Batman.

What. What are you talking about the lowest score of them all? Are you talking reviews? Because Deathly Hallows part 2 has the highest reviews of all the harry potter movies, not the lowest.
Normally I'd complain about you guys talking about harry potter in a batman thread but it's not like there's much else to be said until the trailer is released and we can break it apart.

Well, depends on the site I guess. Generally one of the worst 3
Well, depends on the site I guess. Generally one of the worst 3
Oh i see, I read that as you saying p2 had the lowest score so how could it be better than 1.

I agree the books were better than the movies, however the first part of Deathly hallows was fantastic Up till the bit where [sp] they go to the Forrest [/sp] it becomes slow, and a bit boring, however overall it was decent. The 2nd part (Sad that the trailer didnt show here) was probably the best out of the movies. Sure there were parts i disliked however they are allowed some creativity with the movie and many effects were done great. There were akward moments, some scenes were mind blowing [sp] i thoroughly enjoyed the snape memories and meeting Gandalf... i mean dumbledore at the kings cross dream[/sp] and bits i didnt agree with [sp] the gringots scenes were underwhelming[/sp] which once again makes it an enjoyable movie. Im sure many people scream out "OOHHH the books are teh best, movie is shit." but they look at movies from a book stand point. If you take a movie as a movie rather than a book, you will enjoy it more. Some people havnt even read the books so they cant compare and the idea is at least interesting which is why people connect with it.
Now think back to the star wars movies. You say people who grew up with the new movies enjoy them, which is true since i did enjoy the new movies to an extent (Though i agree the old ones were better). however also remember that the old movies also create nostalgia to those who grew up with those and therefore biased to an extent as well. The new movies are not terrible, however they are not Dark Knight Materiel. There are more than just OMFGAMAZINGMOVIES and OMFGSHITMOVIES. there are also not bad and decent movies, enjoyable, lazy and different points. But in the end, movie enjoyability comes down to its viewer. Im sure my movie preferences will vastly vary from yours or others, and all of that can create great arguments with your mates :)
