Sometimes, I find myself liking Batman Begins more so then the Dark Knight.
I heard rumor that they're trying to get Jim Carry as The Riddler again.
I just read the updated post. Never mind. Also
I think this will be about the same as Batman Begins, It can't really be as good as the Dark Knight, Heath Ledger really made that movie what it is.
Do you think Nolan is going to have a hat-trick with all 3 movie villains being psychologically themed?
All of Nolan's films are psychologically (or near enough) themed. It's what allows him to give substance and depth to superhero films where others have failed miserably. [editline]06:18AM[/editline]
I think this will be about the same as Batman Begins, It can't really be as good as the Dark Knight, Heath Ledger really made that movie what it is.
Not really, Ledger's performance was beyond excellent, but it definitely doesn't make the film what it is.
When I went to watch it with some friends, when two face showed up I was all "THIRD FILM VILLAIN RIGHT THERE" then they killed him and I was all "oh"
The Ventriloquist would be really interesting.
The Ventriloquist would be really interesting.
True. Especially with the new dark tone in the series.
Needs more Heath Ledger.
I'f Robbins in BatMan game, why isnt he in the movies thats what i dont get about this batman character and other stuff.:v
Sometimes, I find myself liking Batman Begins more so then the Dark Knight.
I do as well, just find the story more interesting in Batman Begins and the way they show more of the Bruce Wayne character than Batman. Also Liam Neeson!
I'f Robbins in BatMan game, why isnt he in the movies thats what i dont get about this batman character and other stuff.:v
because he's a massive pussy is why [editline]06:15PM[/editline]
I feel like Bane isn't going to happen, because honestly, only people who actually have read Batman comics will have heard of him. I would bet that at least 1/2 of the people that see it will think they made him up for the movie.
I had heard of him. Never read a comic. Surely more known than Scarecrow? I mean before Begins nobody knew him.
I had heard of him. Never read a comic. Surely more known than Scarecrow? I mean before Begins nobody knew him.
I knew him from the batman cartoon though.
David Tennant should be the Riddler. He proved he could be act as a pretty crazy dude in that one Harry Potter movie where he pretended to be that guy with the one eye. I don't see Johnny Depp being in Batman. Also, Christian Bale and Johnny Depp were both in Public Enemies. Both representing basically the same ideals. CB is law, JD is crime. [editline]05:15PM[/editline]
In terms of story The Dark knight>Avatar In terms of high tech visuals Avatar>The Dark Knight Even so The Dark Knight was pretty damn cool seeing on a HDTV
High Tech visuals? Most of the explosions and stunts in The Dark Knight were real. The semi flip, that was real. The hospital exploding, that was real.
Ya, Bane was in the animated series quite a few times.. But i really was praying for some Poison Ivy in a Christopher Nolan film.. She doesn't strike me as Too far fetched.. I'm sure they could write up something that'd have her make some sense.. Not to mention, the whole seduction thing with bruce wayne is always entertaining xD [editline]04:30PM[/editline]
I've always seen Mr. Freeze and the Penguin as relatively shitty characters. Danny Devito playing the penguin just didn't leave me with a good impression of him. And Mr. Freeze played by Arnold didn't do too well either. They just seem like one time villians to me. I would love to see another Psychological Villian. I pray to God this atleast equates to the awesomeness left behind by The Dark Knight. Heath Ledger should be happy that his last role was the Joker. The best Joker I've ever seen. RIP Joker. [editline]08:05PM[/editline] In terms of everything The Dark Knight>Avatar. I couldn't stand sitting there for 2 hours watching Avatar. I know I have a rather unpopular opinion but it was just not a good movie.
I didn't think DeVito portrayed the Penguin well at all.. As entertaining as it was, wasn't the penguin like, a very proper, stuck up monocle wearing monopoly owning rich guy with a bad tempter and freakish looks? Meanwhile, DeVito wasn't a human being, he was an animal. [editline]04:32PM[/editline] Oh, and one last thing, If you guys are so set on Jonny Depp playing anybody, why not have him playing either The Ventriloquist, or the Mad Hatter?
The hospital exploding, that was real.
except for the windows on it
I think Croc made a cameo in his pre-crocodile form in The Dark Knight. That huge black inmate had a tattoo of a crocodile on his neck which the Camera made sure to show quite a bit. He was also super buff and intimidating. Potential future use? You be the judge.
Doesn't look like croc to me. Also [sp]he threw away the remote detonator at the end[/sp]
David Tennent as Riddler. It needs to happen. [editline]05:23PM[/editline] Wasn't Croc born with the skin condition anyways? Plus, Croc really isn't a good enough villain for a standalone movie I'd think.
But he could be a supporting villain.
But he could be a supporting villain.
No, not at all. He'd be ridiculous. I don't get how everyone can keep making these kind of suggestions, the whole pitch of the reboot was : More real. The croc does not fit in that at all.
I wonder if they could work The Ventriloquist into a movie.
Release date is now set: July 20th, 2012, on the same weekend time that Dark Knight opened on (july 18th, 2008) It's marked for Imax and Convential Theaters, so looks like this will be strictly 2D, no 3D. It also opens 2 weeks after the spiderman reboot. Spidermans gonna get crushed.
Im a dark knight addict but batman begins is better :D
Believe it or not I won Batman Begins in an arcade machine.
I really, really wonder what they're gonna do about the Joker.
I really, really wonder what they're gonna do about the Joker.
Dark Knight ended with him getting taken by the cops, so I'm guessing it'll just be assumed that he's locked up now.
Dark Knight ended with him getting taken by the cops, so I'm guessing it'll just be assumed that he's locked up now.
But they can't do that for long. Arkham has a revolving door, and the fucking Scarecrow escaped and was in the second movie. I really hope this movie is as good as the other two. He's going to have a hard time topping Dark Knight.
Dark Knight ended with him getting taken by the cops, so I'm guessing it'll just be assumed that he's locked up now.
I guess. That seems like a bit of a lame resolution for the Joker though.

That's a really obvious photoshop. Just look at how blurry some of the flyers are. Jesus, it even says "May 2010."
