If Hans Zimmer and John Williams had a baby I would shit my pants.
So would Hans Zimmer and John Williams. [editline]19th October 2011[/editline] And the baby actually
Just an FYI but if time-frame comparisons between this and the Dark Knight are anything to go by (so far they have been) then expect the full trailer to The Dark Knight Rises to premiere December 16th in front of Sherlock Holmes 2. Fitting since the full trailer to Nolan's last film premiered in front of Sherlock Holmes 1. WB has only two movies opening that month and the other is a romantic comedy so yeaaaah.
6 minute prologue from 'Dark Knight Rises' attached to IMAX version of Mission Imposible: Ghost Protocol Well, new Mission Impossible looks much cooler now.
Hmm didn't know they did the same thing with Dark Knight and I am Legend. Thanks for the heads up, though. MI is listed as a paramount film so i didn't think it'd be that one, but looks like Paramount knows how to bring in more people. Smart move. Maybe the trailer will still be attached to Sherlock Holmes? Hell of a day that'd be. I won't be watching it though. The teaser was enough for me.
I hope that's true I've been itching for more trailers and shit since the teaser
Hmm that's not something I wish to see, hopefully it will be released in okay quality online.
I have a feeling MI4 will do very well at the box office :v:
Well that's surprising. Despite the tons of advertising for The Avengers, The Dark Knight Rises still got the user voted award for most anticipated movie for the Spike TV Scream Awards. The awards show is Tuesday night, no clue if they'll be showing any new footage or something but it's not likely. I still don't think Dark Knight can make more money than Avengers in the box office, though. Those 3D showings are gonna make Avengers tons of cash.
They may have been hyping the avengers up to massive levels but TDKR will still make more money I think. There are just far more pope who want to see it, as opposed to Avengers, which looks like your average marvel comics movie, and we've had a glut of them.
Think the top three 2012 movies will be: 1. The Hobbit: Part 1 2. The Dark Knight Rises 3. The Avengers
yesss you just reminded me that the hobbit comes out next year so hyped
I'm oddly excited about The Hobbit, weird considering I hate the setting and the LOTR movies.
imo hans zimmer is nothing more than a background music kind of guy. he writes good stuff, it just doesn't get used as much in the movies as it should (let's be realistic, how much did you pay attention to the music in the batman films? all you really know is the credits song).
Hans Zimmer made music for the Nolan-Batman series that isn't exactly that easy to whistle as, say, John Williams' music. Yet, I find myself trying to whistle music from BB/TDK anyways because it's that good.
I like best
i know nolan said it wouldn't be but god i sure hope the riddler at least gets a passing reference though i guess he DID get one in the TDK arg

AMC Theatres can confirm a six minute prologue will be shown in front of Ghost Protocol on December 16th
The footage will only be shown on the higher resolution 70mm IMAX screens. Not the digital IMAX screens. http://www.amctheatres.com/Script_to_Screen/EXCLUSIVE__Update_on__The_Dark_Knight_Rises__Prologue/
This really doesn't make much sense. Warner Brothers has it's own film, Sherlock Holmes, opening on that day as well. Why would they convince people to see a paramount film instead when usually these things are very competitive? oh well whatever, I'm going to enjoy Mission Impossible 4 more than Sherlock Holmes 2 anyways so I can't complain. EDIT: now that I think about it i guess it's because Sherlock isn't getting an IMAX release and they really want to use MI's imax time to convince people to spend more and see TDKR in Imax next summer. I guess that makes sense.
because batman transcends studios. hes batman
Stupid IMAX are at least a half hour away. Any chance it will show up online officially (ie not shaky cam) on the same day?
Stupid IMAX are at least a half hour away. Any chance it will show up online officially (ie not shaky cam) on the same day?
Considering the Dark Knight's opening didn't go online I'm gonna say no.
Stupid IMAX are at least a half hour away. Any chance it will show up online officially (ie not shaky cam) on the same day?
Well, at least you have any digital IMAX in your country/state. I don't.
Have a look through here http://lfexaminer.com/theaUSA.htm http://lfexaminer.com/theaintl.htm Any theater labeled 1570 is a legit IMAX and is gonna have TDKR's openining. Any labeled D are shitty digital theaters and won't get shit.
oh great the two closest won't have it Gotta go 40 minutes now
because batman transcends studios. hes batman
The hero that Paramount deserves.

[editline]26th October 2011[/editline] Aww fuck. Their site says it's digital IMAX in the fine print. That fucking sucks.
