Not that interested in either really but at least one is being done by a pixar director and has simon pegg.
Actually, I rather enjoyed the third one. Wow, I'm surprised at all the directors that have done the MI franchise. Brian De Palma, John Woo, J. J. Abrams. I hate J. J. and he made what I consider the best one. This new guy, all he's done is animated stuff, although I enjoyed all of those films. Think he can pull it off?

AMC Theatres can confirm a six minute prologue will be shown in front of Ghost Protocol on December 16th
The footage will only be shown on the higher resolution 70mm IMAX screens. Not the digital IMAX screens. http://www.amctheatres.com/Script_to_Screen/EXCLUSIVE__Update_on__The_Dark_Knight_Rises__Prologue/
Will buy tickets only to see see the six minute prologue.
goddammit there is no "real" imax screens within reasonable distance fuck offfff
the imax cinema in my city made no money for 9 of the 10 years it was open so they've removed the 70mm projector and replaced it with a digital one so they don't have to pay the licence fees shame, I only watched films there a few times but it was always fucking amazing (and they have replaced it with one of the 4K projectors, so I guess that's something)
goddammit there is no "real" imax screens within reasonable distance fuck offfff
I had to drive nearly five hours to make it to the IMAX inception midnight showing. Was totally worth it.
Looks like official synopsis for TDKR was leaked
[sp]Every hero has a journey. Every journey has an end. Christopher Nolan returns to complete the epic Gotham trilogy that launched with Batman Begins and reached the stratosphere with the billion-dollar blockbuster The Dark Knight. Batman is now hunted by the law led by his friend Commisioner Gordon for taking the blame of Harvey Dent's murders and protecting his reputation. He must quickly deal with the arrival of new villain Bane who is bent on the destruction and chaos of Gotham City, face old wounds and get a handle on the enigmatic Selina Kyle before his city is lost for good. Oscar Winner Christian Bale reprises his role as Bruce Wayne/Batman for the third time along with stars Michael Caine as Alfred, Gary Oldman as Commisioner Gordon and Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox. Inception stars Marion Cotillard and Joseph Gordon-Levitt join the cast as Wayne Enterprise board member Miranda Tate and Gotham Cop John Blake. Rounding out the cast are Anne Hathaway as the sleek Selina Kyle and Tom Hardy as the powerful villain Bane. Warner Bros. Pictures presents, in association with Legendary Pictures, a Syncopy Production, a Christopher Nolan film, "The Dark Knight Rises." Nolan directed the film from a screenplay written by Jonathan Nolan and Christopher Nolan, story by Christopher Nolan & David S. Goyer. Charles Roven, Emma Thomas and Christopher Nolan are the producers, with Benjamin Melniker, Michael E. Uslan, Kevin De La Noy and Thomas Tull serving as executive producers. "The Dark Knight Rises" is based upon characters appearing in comic books published by DC Comics. Batman was created by Bob Kane.[/sp]
Where exactly did you get that from? [editline]29th October 2011[/editline] http://movies.cosmicbooknews.com/content/dark-knight-rises-2012-exclusive-official-synopsis-revealed lol they're all reporting it from this website. Sure sounds legit to me yeaaaaa
[sp]Face old wounds[/sp] I wonder what that could mean.
spoilerrsss nopenopenope So I've never been to an IMAX movie, hopefully Sherlock Holmes 2 will be worth it (since the prologue is showing with that right?). Also probably gonna see TDKR in IMAX

It's also a really fake looking rumor. Some random website gets the official synopsis? Yeah sounds like the start of every other fake rumor we've had. I just want to see either, but I'm leaning a little bit more towards Sherlock since it doesn't have Tom Cruise in it
Looking on google yeah it looks like MI will have some scenes being shot with Imax cameras.
I read about this. Basically the stunts where Cruise is hopping on Oprah's couch...I mean climbing a skyscraper and shit.

I will be driving 150 miles to see the IMAX midnight release of TDKR
I will be driving 150 miles to see the IMAX midnight release of TDKR
270 or 300 miles here. Depends on where I am at the time. Fucking shitty digital IMAX's over taking the legit ones ffffffffff
IMAX is probably too expensive for the average Joe. I'm guessing it costs a lot?
Wonder how Nolan will Nola-fy the titan serum/Venom/Super Steroids/.
IMAX is probably too expensive for the average Joe. I'm guessing it costs a lot?
Seems to me like not really. What average movie tickets are like 8 or more, tack on a few extra bucks for 3D bullshit. I think Jordan's are $11.50 could be wrong (and they always have the film imaxes not digital)
Super Steroids. Created by Wayne Enterprises back in the day before Bruce, Bane and Bruce, shit comes full circle.

Some rather interesting (and spoilerish) pictures; http://comicbookmovie.com/fansites/CoastToCoastStation/news/?a=49139
Can't wait for The Dark Knight returns! The Dark Knight was just too much of a ride from the beginning all the way till the end, so I can't expect nothing less than that!
IMAX isn't necessarily in 3D, although tickets generally are a couple bucks more expensive.
No I mean at regular theaters they charge more than regular tickets so going to see a 3D movie at a regular theater is probably the same price as going to see regular at IMAX
Here we pay 130 NOK/$24 for a 3D ticket :suicide:
