i should make a poster and charge 50 bux for it but i have no ideas

Finally saw the prologue today. I could understand most of what bane said, though I had the try my damnedest, but a few words were still too muffled to hear. Before someone says "oh you saw it in a shitty theatre" I saw it in a proper film-projector IMAX theatre.

I watched the prologue taken from a shitty camera in the cinema and I still understood Bane perfectly. my guess is it's Americans. Now i'm not trying to be prejudiced, but it's pretty well known that Americans arn't the best with accents. Nolan is English, so even with the muffle, Bane sounds exactly the same as the English that Nolan grew up with. As an Australia I am used to hearing people with similar accents and understand him perfectly. I'm not saying it's only Americans and that they are all affected by it, but I think Tom Hardy's accent would definitely have an affect on peoples understandings.

Honestly, how can that be their fault? They're not constantly surrounded by an English accent dominate environment (for example). It's quite well known that some English accents are so thick that you're like '...come again?'. Then you throw in the lowly educated and those lovely british-centric slang terms and suddenly you're wondering who really butchers the English language :P It's like the uneducated southerners in America, he-yuck. But even then I have had no troubles with Tom Hardy's accent or understanding what he says with the mask on. I actually think the muffled accent sounds badass. I think we can only make a true assessment once we actually get a chance to watch the movie for ourselves.

Don't generalize southerners as having a butchered english language. If you actually listen to what they are saying, their dialect uses words and sounds that people from the 19th century mainly used. They speak an older dialect, at least the Appalachian dialect does. That doesn't mean they're uneducated. And don't discredit the low english accents either, I think cockney rhyme slang is pretty clever.a And whoever said that Texas had only 1 accent was hilariously wrong. America probably has more accents than England, considering that half of Europe came over here it's common sense that all their accents would come over as well, hell even mix together and get new accents. I remember this time my dad was meeting with British businessmen a few years ago, and they were utterly surprised he didn't sound like a hick. Mind you this meeting was in Boston and my dad is from New York.
