That's Catwoman though, she looks unassuming and sexy, then she beats the living shit out of you. That character has always been like that.
Well, he did such an amazing job with the Joker's character, I'd expect something more innovative with the catwoman.
she could be both strong and sexy, something that hollywood doesn't really know how to do, most of the time
I agree with that, I guess we will just have to wait and see how he handles Catwoman.
Well, Nolan does a pretty bad job when it comes to picking female actresses.

Marion Cotillard?
I think the female rolls in Inception were pretty well cast.

yeah but he picked ol' butterface to replace the actress who played rachel in begins

her character has always been fucking terrible though. theres zero depth or even any originality to her. purr maybe i suck ya dick psych i fool u
and batman's suit has never been ridiculous ever? pointy ears and all?
He looked pretty badass in Begins, maybe due to the solid headpiece.
And IMO the Nolan Batman's ears should be way more pointy and sharp, unlike the cat-like ears his suit has now.

This is how his silhouette should look for maximum badassery.

it looks like something that should be plugged into a wall
ears dont look like that
Best in DC comics
For some reason, I find every other DC hero/villain to be extremely boring, when it's not from Batman universe.
Only exception was for the 'Justice League' animated series.
ears dont look like that
Fuck realism, I only care about the badassery.

From what i can tell its basicly Batman vs. Marvel.
Not DC vs. Marvel, Batman.
Everyone loves Batman.

Though recently its probably more Batman vs. Iron Man, Deadpool, and Spider-man.

idk it might have something to do with the fact that she's generally regarded as a good actress and Nolan isn't the type of director thats content simply fill the role with generic hollywood bimbo #2323 COUGHmichaelbayCOUGH
also please bear in mind that I am not going to bat for maggie g's sexual attractiveness. but shes not THAT hideous

nah maybe you should actually look up some of the better stories that have been written with her. The long halloween and dark victory spring to mind. Maybe even Hush.
aw who am i kiddin no one can bother rationally arguing with ya
you just keep being you, rusty!
I think Maggie Gyllenhaal is pretty...
She can look good, she just didn't in TDK, which is fine, I'd rather see an average or ugly actress who can act then some hot bimbo who can barley read her lines.
unless its porn of course

Is an awful actor. She looks like a bogan.
There are an infinium of good choices available for women to play a sexy & strong catwoman role without delving into terrible cliches the whole way through... Just not sure that Hathaway is right for the role - she's better suited to semi-comedic roles like she had in Get Smart. I can't see her pulling this one off too convincingly.
I remember when I saw the first trailer for the Dark Knight. All I could think was "REALLY? They're doing the Joker? NO ONE can top Jack. NO ONE."
Then I saw the design; "HOLY SHIT THAT LOOKS EFFING LAME. WHAT, HE'S GOT LONG HAIR? IS HE A GODDAMN BAG LADY NOW? WHAT HAPPENED TO THE GANGSTER SUIT AND HAT? WHERE'S THE ACID SHOOTING FLOWER? THIS IS GOING TO SUCK HARDER THAN AN ALL-VACUUM CLEANER PRODUCTION OF ANG LEE'S HULK."
Then I heard how The Dark Knight was supposedly an AMAZING movie that provided something totally fresh and new while still staying true to the roots of these characters.
So I went to go see it.
A few hours later, and I had seen what is now one of my all-time favorite movies.
As completely stupid as that Catwoman design is...
As totally awkward as that Bane design looks...
I just keep telling myself, "Nolan knows what he's doing..."
[sp]or I atleast hope to GOD he does... It'd be a shame to fuck up such a good series with the grand finale.[/sp]

I don't know what that is.

Here's a handy chart:
Marvel > DC (minus Batman)
Marvel = DC (plus Batman)
Marvel (minus Spider-Man, Deadpool, or one of the all-around great characters like Cap or Thing) < DC (plus Batman)

that's why you shouldn't think that much about it
I don't know what that is.
It's an Australian thing. She just has a look about her face that screams of being on welfare.

Actually she's probably one of the hottest french actresses I've ever seen, and she's very talented.
She won an Academy Award for her performance as Édith Piaf in La Vie en rose.
Maybe Nolan like to experiment with fresh celebs. I kinda like it though, because at least they are in a serious role, and possibly see them in better movies.
Batman is the damn ensemble darkhorse of DC, he is DC.
Could say the same about Spider-man with marvel
and batman's suit has never been ridiculous ever? pointy ears and all?
At least it's actually functional.

There was a Spiderman-Batman comic line once. That was a huge contrast.
Batman attempting to retain any kind of fear farctor and Spider-Man actively sabotaging it with his oneliner quips.
Also, these past few years, the strength of the X-Men Films over the Spider.man Films has lead to Hugh Jackman making an already popular flagship character, into Marvels main focus along with Spider-Man.
I remember when i was a kid and either of their comics had the other featuring, i'd be hyped to hell and back. Too bad they rebooted the fims now. Kinda killed the chance of Spider-Man crossing over with either of the two other Film-Canons going on.
I don't even know why they established 3 separate film canons. Probably due to seperate funders, but shit. Spider-Man and Wolverine had many dealings with each other and with Fantastic 4. Spider-Man even got his own squad in Shield for a short tenure. Wolverine served in WWII with Captain America. You know that part of the film where he's dropped behind German lines? Yeah. Logan was there according to canon. But oh well. Too much hassle i guess.
