Actually UK "Riot Police" are called the Police Support Unit.

Our rights were suppressed, the taxes were heavy and for things we could make ourselves, you forced us to buy your goods, and your government took away one of the state's right to govern themselves. I think that the actions at the time were appropriate on our part. Never would have happened if you hadn't insisted on your imperialistic forcing of us to purchase your over priced goods and use the profit on yourselves and give us hardly any aid at all in return for our loyalty. Yeah, you did 'defend' us against the French, but they ended up on our side anyhow.
