Europe feels a lot better than North America for me.

It's just a matter of opinion.
Europe fails in comparison to the states. Bunch of gun fearing Socialist faggots who think USA is a bunch of rednecks.
:patriot:
America is #1, disagree then come say it to my face Ive got guns and all youve got is a bunch of white flags.
You're the American issue, someone who biasingly and blindly would kill themselves for there country because they think its the best, rather than for real reasons like protecting your right and freedoms.
Or just a troll, all I see from you is one sidedness.
Because Scots tend not to be very "We're the best" kind of type in my humble opinion.
Thanks!
And also, yeah when I was in America I had to wear a Kilt for a wedding. SHITLOADS of attention.
Edit: kilts are only for cool people
It's just a matter of opinion.
No history says America is #1, its only an opinion when someone says another country is better than America.
I don't find this happens as much in Vancouver/Canada, but yes, it's bound to happen literally everywhere on earth.
Come to Australia.
We LURVE dem immigants
:v:
I live in America, and the south at that, and I don't experience this. Sure, people may act or be portrayed as ignorant, elitist, or racist but from my experience they really aren't. Nobody picks on the immigrants. Not to stereotype, but the immigrants are usually hard workers so they get a lot of work around here and respect. Isn't much elitism either. Apparently, there is something to "southern hospitality" because everyone around here is really, really kind. Our neighbors look after our dog when he runs away like their own, for instance.
The only time we're dickheads is when people from other parts of the country come here and act like we're stupid hicks. Most people don't even live up to southern generalizations here.
So there isn't really any credibility to your theory. If you're new to somewhere, you won't be accepted for a while until you prove yourself. This goes for everywhere. Like you said, you have to earn trust in Russia. Well, the same applies here.
I'm from the U.S., and while working over the summer, I met a lot of European foreigners who came to work the summer. Since they were college students, they got traveling expenses paid, so they decided to come the the States to make some good money before classes started again. I met a few people from Poland and became good buds with two of em. It was actually a different person from Bulgaria who told me to watch my wallet around em (never had a problem though lol), everyone else from the States thought they were interesting and asked a few questions about Poland here and there. So to me, it seems that the other Europeans were more negative towards each other than any Americans were towards them.
I also got to meet people from Beijing, Turkey, and Ghana. Played basketball with them and the Polish guys, it was good fun.

I once had some Polish bitch stay at my house, she would eat my food, had a ton of money put away, wouldnt spend her money, and she complained when I told her to GTFO.
Oh, one other note, I'm from the North just to specify.

Hahaha, the guys I were with never did anything like that. They usually bought me beers and shit, never asked for anything in return.
Might be going to Tennessee for the summer. I shall be interested to see what these Yankee fellows are like.
Europe's the best.
I'm going to the US, Virginia or some shit, during summer holidays.
Anything awesome in Virginia?
"Damn immigrants get outta my country"
I've heard quite a few Britons say that when referring to Middle Eastern immigrants.
I've been living in Russia for 12 years and I always noticed that people are assholes on the outside but are nice on the inside. All you have to do is earn their trust and friendship and you will bond for life.

woah russians got it good, they got friends
export as commodity?
I live in the Deep South, and I don't hate foreigners or anything. Most people find people who know lots of languages and have been to different countries interesting.
I like meeting people from other places, mainly because I've pretty much never been anywhere out of the U.S., and even then it was an hour in Canada.
Honestly, I believe that it's just the people you are meeting. I think that everyone on earth is friendly and welcoming - it's just the governments of the countries that treat each other like shit. If you go to Iran,Greece,Italy,Germany,Turkey,Russia,Japan or any country of the world you will meet people who are some of the nicest you've ever met.
But that's just my optimistic, unrealistic view of our world
I don't care what Country I am in, as long as I am enjoying myself. If you think you are in a better country, good for you.
I love to travel and love every country I visit. Not one country is better than the other for me.
Nah Thuster, I wanted to believe that I just met crappy people, but no, everyone here is like that. Extremely shallow thinking they all deserve better. Hell, I've started turning into one of them until a friend of mine also immigrated and told me that I've changed. You don't even notice it.
I live in Montreal Canada and the hole city is made of immigrants as myself 7/8 of people in most schools are born outside the country. Theres sometimes hatred between some country's and people tend to make groups with their origins and not mix them selfs with others.
You know, I find it funny that I can go South Africa and have a homosexual relationship/marriage legally, openly serve in the military, and have my rights protected by law, but I can't do it in a majority of America.

Yea but South African government is still fucked.
I'm from the most southern tip of Texas and I have the up-most respect for foreigners and I wish we had more European Visitors/Immigrants here. It makes me sad when Europeans stereotype Americans as assholes/rednecks/foreigner haters. :(
NO it's awful here
I like it here in Texas.

They're just ignorant thinking all southerners are gun slinging rednecks.
Gotta love it.
Maybe this is why I find playing with Russians in l4d, tf2, is more fun? I always seem to have a laugh and a fun time.
You can't generalize the entire population of North America solely by the small amount of people you met.
He can and has.
I have been livining in America for sixteen years, and have always wanted to move to Germany, Austria, or England for similar reasons. I have always hoped that there is a better place then here, and I plan on trying out new places after I graduate.
If you don't like America go back to your own country.
Fuck you Canada's awesome
Come to Australia.

We've banned just about everything else :downs:
It's probably harder to smuggle in a copy of left 4 dead than a Sri Lankan refugee
france sucks
bottom line

In Canada however, and America for that matter, I find that people are a lot more materialistic. Everyone pretends to be nice but the minute you're on the ground they forget about you.
I feel like the people here are just worse. People are also a lot more unacceptive and elitist - "Damn immigrants get outta my country!"
I know a lot of you will say "go back to your country your ungrateful cunt" but the problem does not lie with me, it is the problem with this country that needs fixing.
I've been to America (northern part, south of Canada's borders) too and its slightly better than here in Canada (I've been in Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, they're all equally shitty, except Montreal perhaps) but it still sucks quite a bit.
There is something different about the people here, they just do less fun things, and I feel like Europe is a lot better.
I know this is a largely UK predominated forum and perhaps people will be biased, but hear me out. I've lived in both countries for a considerable amount of time, and the difference is obvious.
This is odd because I've never heard this sort of talk from anyone while I was growing up. I tend to hear a bit of racism from the older generations, but the rest of us (the kids I went to school with) grew up thinking of Canada as multicultural and it's in no way, shape or form odd to see people of different races, from different countries. My first friend was Middle Eastern and my first best friend was black. Some of the best social experiences I've had was meeting some exchange students from Brazil and Italy.
Then again, that's just my experience and observation.
Come to California, we're awesome. We also tend to like foreigners, there's a British kid at our school and he's quite popular.
