that monologue is so fucking stupid lmao if you told me this was meant to be parody i'd believe it
If they really wanna make something against trends, include children, elderly people and animals to the list. It's like they're trying to be above political correctness as they say but don't want to go too far above, fucking pussies if you ask me. I'd love to see the petitions and news coverage then! :v:
Apparently quite a few of the developers have ties to neo-Nazi groups, so... yeah there's a very specific 'trend' they're going after here.
If they really wanna make something against trends, include children, elderly people and animals to the list.
Yup. Might as well go all out, while they're at it.
Looks like an alright little timewaster, definitely gonna cause some controversy with the whole mass shooting craze atm though
Mass shooting craze lately? That's always been a craze man. Time for people to chill out and just play video games.
I almost forgot to say that they directly ripped the character's design off of Jackie from The Darkness.
I think they were just going for the standard edgy metalhead emo trenchcoat guy you see.
Game looks awesome, can't wait for all the dumb backlash from SJWs. (wait, it already happened, nvm) [editline]17th October 2014[/editline]
Yup. Might as well go all out, while they're at it.
What is the problem? Battlefield 4 is a game in which you kill people for no particular reason, other than being at war, on a warzone. Hatred is a game in which you kill people for no particular reason, in a city. In BF4 you have animations where you cut people's throats open and take their dogtags, usually a respected token and a promoted action. In Hatred you have animations of you killing people. Yeah, totally a terrible game, ban it right now holy shit I wish people would stop being such easily TRIGGERED pussholes

Man it's going to be a fun time reading all about this game.
this is just the dumbest fucking thing to say and reeks of having absolutely zero understanding of reality
I know one thing for sure - stuff that happens in video games is not real. Stop making a huge deal out of games.
I know one thing for sure - video games are not real.
Source?
Source?
Basic understanding of real and virtual objects.
Finally they've made a game about my Shadow the Hedgehog fanfic
Finally they've made a game about my Shadow the Hedgehog fanfic
pssh, nothin personnel... kid
Innocent civilians are a big difference to attacking soldiers.
Innocent civilians make a big difference.
To play the Devil's Advocate, Modern Warfare 2 had that "No Russian" scene.
That's why MW2 was one of the most controversial games.
That's why MW2 was one of the most controversial games.
You know, the airport level did not disturb me at all (and I am russian), and I don't understand why it disturbed other people. It's virtual, none of those people are real, why do people take this dumb shit so seriously?
I don't know why but it makes me extremely uncomfortable killing innocent or unarmed npc's in video games, hell I would of been all for mindless destruction rampages as a kid but as I got older it just got awkward and creepy real fast.
I know one thing for sure - video games are not real.
Strange, I'm poking my copy of Pokemon X and it certainly appears to exist, it has measurable mass, is in a solid state of matter, when inserted in the appropriate console it performs features in line with what a video game is supposed to do, and its presence has been confirmed by multiple additional observers.
This is just going to get governments and or lobbyists to try and restrict games in some way after a shooter's computer is found to have this installed
It's because video games make it possible to be anyone and do anything you could never do - but why would you want to do that?
Some people have weird fantasies (I don't), though I find it dumb how everyone is so deeply offended and hurt by a video game.
I don't know why but it makes me extremely uncomfortable killing innocent or unarmed npc's in video games, hell I would of been all for mindless destruction rampages as a kid but as I got older it just got awkward and creepy real fast.
Somewhat same here, I used to love playing Postal 2 as a kid, but now it's just boring. There, I corrected my post so your autism won't be triggered so much.
It's because things like war are in games because kids think it's cool, but there's nothing cool about mass shootings of innocent people
It's because things like war are in games because kids think it's cool, but there's nothing cool about mass shootings of innocent people
The game doesn't explicitly say "go kill people in real life", nor does it (nor Postal 2) make me want to kill people so I don't see what the problem is at all. Only a mentally deranged person would get a crave to kill after playing a game like Hatred or Postal 2. It looks like it might be fun to play through after a hard, stressful day, but that's it. It's a game. Stop taking games seriously.
That's not the point. The fact that the developers put it in a game implies they think it's either cool or fun. [editline]edit[/editline] We were talking about MW2, not this.

By watching the trailer it seems like you get some insight in what these people consider a fantasy, which isn't so much a problem with the game as it is with the people developing it.
That's not the point. The fact that the developers put it in a game implies they think it's either cool or fun.
Then it's their opinion, I don't see the problem? If anyone tried telling me what I should like and dislike I would simply tell them to fuck off, which is what the devs will most likely do. And like I already said:
It looks like it might be fun to play through after a hard, stressful day, but that's it.
[editline]17th October 2014[/editline]
The point is that it really seems like the people taking this game seriously are mostly the game devs themselves. Also, I really, really doubt they're taking the game seriously. Noone, where I work, takes games seriously. (and we're all game devs here)
I'm pretty sure that everyone screamed the same when Postal/Postal 2 came out (I mean, everyone I knew said the same shit at the time, that the devs are terrible people, that they're fucked up in their heads, hell, even my parents tried stopping me from playing it), and I am sure that people will say the same about Hatred in a few years time.
Postal 2 wasn't serious at all about it though, that's the point. I'm all for respecting other people's beliefs, unless those beliefs involve wanting to murder a ton of innocent people. And as of now, it feels like a few of these developers might actually not see much of a problem with thinking up stuff like that.
