I'm arachnophobic, but even I don't hate Tarantulas and Jumping Spiders.
Tarantulas are fun to watch. Plus, they don't look as threatening with how bulky they look. And jumping spiders look adorable all the time, and they look pretty cool when they are vibrantly colored.
It's the ones with fairly small bodies and long spindly legs that get most people I think. It doesn't help some of them are colored black and yellow, which are pretty much signals to us you should stay the hell away from something colored like that.

I like how he cocks his head, almost like a dog, into a perfectly quizzical look of "Now why did that move away?"
Curious little guys.
I don't get spider hate. The only spiders I could understand flipping out over is the one where it carries all of its babies on its back, or something like a black widow where it has a fat as fuck body carried by string-like legs and is dangerous as fuck.
But being scared over jumping spiders? Tarantulas? Are you serious? Half the time I don't get it when someone flips out over a spider, unless they're doing it for attention or something.
it's not how they look, it's how they think
Long jawed Jumping Spiders aren't pretty
Tarantulas are total bros. Had a wild one climb on my foot when I was camping around age 10 or 11, and it just chilled there for a little before it moved off. Jumping spiders are also pretty cool to watch.
Why didn't it try to bite him?
I've always wanted a dog-sized tame jumping spider. Like, a jack russel-sized jumper. I'd take one over an actual jack russel any day.
Jumping spiders are super docile and friendly
Curious little buggers. Bites are pretty rare, they have to be provoked.

Some of them actively hunt for preys.
I never got why people are so afraid of spiders. Have you ever seen a fucking giant centipede? That's the stuff of nightmares.
watching this I could not stop thinking of Centipede by knife party.

Yeah, most of the reason I'm afraid of spiders is because of the 2:1 ratio of legs to body most have. It's half the reason I hate tarantulas (the other half being, compared to any spider I live near, they're buttfuck massive), but love jumping spiders.
