Amateur boxer. So yes, many times I have as you say "kicked ass". Also have had my ass beaten by sparring partners on many occasions.
Once, and it wasn't really a fight, as much as me knocking the kid flat on his back with a cheap shot. Don't cheat on my relatives and threaten to kill her. Also, the kid was a scrawny scene fucker, so it was like fighting a cardboard box.

You're stupid, hooks do more damage then straight punches, hooks actually knock you out while as straight punches do surface damage and cause massive head aches. And a straight punch isn't going to send his nose into his brain, that's a stupid myth. I've hit so many people with straight punches and most of the time what happens is their nose crunches, spouts blood, sends them on their ass (but not unconscious) and they're left in pain. A few times I have hit kids with straight punches against a wall and their head bounces (which causes a knock out) but I don't think I've ever knocked anyone out with a straight punch. I punch really fucking hard too, my straight punches are upwards of 1800-1900 psi. That's relatively untrained too. If I had 6-7 years of boxing that power would probably be upwards of 2100-2200. But anyways, straight punches do less damage. Yeah, getting your nose broken sucks, but you don't want to get knocked out, trust me. It's a....unique experience.

Its easier to break someones nose from a hook then a straight punch. You will never ever kill someone by punching straight in. You would need to uppercut their nose for that to happen. Good luck with that.

Don't be afraid of numbers unless they initiate the attack first. Punch the first dude out and make it seem really bad, the others won't touch you.
A technique for fighting multiple men is to run about 20 feet as fast as you can, turn around and use that power to drop the first dude. When people run after another person, for some reason they naturally line up, they never run side by side. This way you eliminate multiple possible attackers and only have to fend off one person at a time.
