I'm a boxer, wrestler and I do occasional Judo/BJJ but I've never been in a position where I've had to do anything using those techniques outside of a competition.
I've never been in a fight. I've restrained people, subdued people, etc from beating the shit out of other people or getting the shit kicked out of them but I haven't ever been in a situation where someone is after me and trying to hurt me personally.
I'm the nice guy. :buddy:
Some nerd got me in a headlock a few years back. I instinctively backhanded him to the face.
I guess he was trying to prove to his friends how tough he was. I'm sure he lost.
He ended up bleeding out his nose which is certainly not tough.

Bleeding out of your nose is only not tough if you let it get to you. You can't exactly stop bleeding by sheer willpower.

He stumbled away on the verge of crying. I just stared at him because I was confused on why he tried to choke me.
lol at people pussying out from fighting and thinking they're cool

If you get hit and it's bad enough it's funny to see everyones shocked faces when you start walking towards them covered in blood though. :smug:

I think much better of people who avoid needless fights instead of rushing in and accepting them just because they think it's cool.
My eyes twitch hard for a split second when I lose it and punch whoever is pissing me off.
bit weird

Agreed.
I goad people into fighting me, I don't do it cause it's cool, I do it cause it's fun, other wise I wouldn't want a career in MMA
I did once. He was a preppy asshole, so in school I just lunged over at the table and threw his face into the ground. It was worth it.

What the fuck did I just watch?
Year older than me, started fighting - was behind me trying to drag me backwards onto the ground, I flipped him over my shoulder on concrete...fight kinda stopped from there on the basis that he landed on his head and was fairly concussed.
Nope I haven't done it, yet.
One time in school a big guy round bout 5ft 8 ripped a sleeve off my jacket because he's an ass, anyway little did he know iv been practising in a Korean martial art called Kuk Sool Won, he swung at me i stepped back and grabbed his arm and a pressure point i then tripped him, stood over him and punched twice to the bridge of his nose and never has breaking someone's nose been as satisfying. :)
A real man can fight with his words.

Nevermind, the reason that one came up first is because the original got removed from youtube. DAMN COPYRIGHT!
Well the only time I ever "kicked ass" is when I knocked some chav over and "accidentally facekicked him twice" then for the first time all the chavs had respect for me, but that was gone after a couple of months

Practicing humility will get you father in life than challenging anyone who dares to disagree with you.

Oh, I know humility, only when some one has bested me
See, I'm a competitor. Everything in life to me is a competition. That has always been my mind set. If you beat me verbally, I don't find it quite as victory as I would if you beat the shit out of me. To me, the english language has always come easy to me and I understood it well at a young age, so I could have verbal arguements with people and win due to my comprehension of the english language. As I got older I got tired of arguing, and I got in my first real fight at 5th grade. I was out at recess with my best friend when a kid called me a sissy and a "cock loving faggot" I had no clue what that was at that age but I understood by the tone of voice it was insulting. I got angry and pushed him. He punched me. I punched him back and pushed him to the ground, his friend jumped on my back and I fell backwards onto him, then turned and punched him in the face. The feeling of victory came over me, and 2 years after that I started wrestling. Every time I won I felt like I was on top of the world. I've lost plenty of times, and every time when some one physically bested me I showed them the respect they deserve. To me, giving me a "verbal beatdown" isn't that hard and I don't see it as that. You can be in school for 12 years or whatever and do minimal work like I did and still be smart, but to physically compete you need to train your ass off. You need to have a natural gift/talent and a hungry monster inside that only wants to win.

Will it really? What about when you and someone else are competing for the same job. You think the employer will want the one that hangs back, or the go-getter. And don't say the 2 situations are unrelated, being feisty puts you in a certain mindset.
I'm not arguing that you should fight with everything and everyone, but knowing when to fight and when to hang back is much much better than always doing one or the other, it teaches you critical thinking and assessment skills.
