Mario's a good character because he's designed to be balanced in all aspects. I like playing Mario/Luigi, though I really wouldn't call him the best smash character.

Dr. Mario is my main in Melee. Weird how he's sort of better than regular Mario.

Because Jon is an easy person to hate? And it's youtube.
To be honest, I rather dislike their views on how SSBB is 'supposed' to be played. It's not 'supposed' to be played only one way. That's what makes it great. It's a free form fighting/party game that can be customized to anyone's liking. It doesn't HAVE to be played a certain way. That's that elitist-SSB-tourney mentality that everyone hates. If it was meant to be played a certain way, you wouldn't have so many customization options.
I love those guys but sometimes Jon can be a bit annoying, but I guess if anyone was recording that amount of audio with very little cut out they would probably have annoying moments too
the YouTube community can go eat a bag of dicks if thy had their way ego would just do a solo lets play channel which wouldn't be nearly as funny
I always subconsciously root for Jon whenever they have a VS video.
I dunno why, he just seems like the underdog even though he's won quite a bit.

Bad at explaining himself or says something without giving reasons for it, plays on the obnoxious humor a lot, gets really really fanboyish about things, likes to repeat himself a lot (which goes well together with his fanboyism).
There is a lot of things for people to dislike about Jon. Personally I think it's a-ok even if it can get a bit "Sheez Jon, just, stop" at times, which isn't in any way a problem since it's only human.
I don't think whether or not he seems friendly has anything to do with the reason people dislike him.
Personally I disliked Jon until I watched Gamegrumps. (I had only seen, 2 or 3 videos of him before though, so that doesn't say much)

I can see why some people dislike him, as his comedy on JonTron seems a bit immature at times, but I can look past it.

I don't see how this qualifies it as something Gamegrumps cannot play. I'd also like to see them play those little co-op missions (where some of them require you to play certain characters against other certain characters.) As well as multi-man brawl and maybe even homerun contest.
I'm a huge Smash Bros fan all-around, watching them play anything besides general versus games would make me happy.
