I get that egoraptor hates subtitles on games with voice acting but even if i understand english perfectly it can sometimes be hard to hear whats going on or what someone says. So I always put on subtitles when I play a game that has it, incase I misheard something. Plus I just like it.
I love subtitles sometimes, but when the voice acting is prevalent, I prefer subtitles only on things that don't have it. Edit: Shit that post made very little sense. I love subtitles, but not during cutscenes. Cutscenes are meant to be cinematic and if they're done at all correctly shouldn't require or need subtitles. On the other hand, in-game text and things should definitely have them. But in the end it's all player preference so there should be all, some, and none settings for every game.
Yea... but none of the Grumps have even touched it, ever. It's gonna be cool. I don't even mind if they drop this playthrough. I would understand them perfectly. The things I've seen from that game could make any cool minded gamer ragequit.
I foresee ragequitting at the first "super speed" segment, also known as the MAKE SONIC EVEN HARDER TO CONTROL AND DIE IF HE HITS ANYTHING segments.
I will defend WOTLK, at the least. Cause like, the super magical pants item at the end of that was not only part of this epic quest that felt like a real story, but it had story significance. Like, if you had Shadowmourne it was like HOLY SHIT I GOT SOME WORLD ENDING SHIT HERE. Seriously I don't even get why they keep raising the level cap. End game WoW is about questing for pants, why aren't they focusing on making the pants and the methods of getting the pants more interesting? Like, why isn't that the focus of the game at this point? It's like, when you play a mage you want to get stronger so you can do things like levitating and teleporting. Why doesn't that idea apply to the pants? Make the pants do cool things. Give the pants stories. Give players a reason to get things and beat bosses besides getting more numbers on their pants.
The level cap raise is pretty much entirely here to make the people play the game more. If you add ten levels and make the new content only accessible once you've reached at least five of these additional levels, then you will make sure people will at least pay one more month to access it, while giving players direct access to the content would just make them finish it very quickly, and since a lot of players don't have an automatic account renewal and pay for each month manually, you'd take the risk of losing a part of your player base. It's also to give a false sense of progression and quest. If you have to do the same grinding for 10 levels before accessing the new cool stuff, it'll feel more rewarding regardless of what is actually at the end of it. [editline]2nd November 2012[/editline] And I'm really wondering if they'll pull something for april fools. Ego and Jon that is, not WoW.
Show that to JonTron man Unless its been done already
I snagged it from their facebook page so I imagine they will see it already
I give them until Kingdom Valley in Sonics story until they break. Kingdom valley for a regular player = 7-10 min kingdom valley for Game Grumps = 20 min

Sonic 06 had so much potential story-wise but they just half-assed the entire game. Really disappointing.
Sonic 06 had so much potential story-wise but they just half-assed the entire game. Really disappointing.
I believe it turned out as bad as it did because they had to rush it for the holiday season. If they would have just waited it would have been so much better.
Ugh, it's the That Guy With the Glasses of gaming websites. Literally, that's what it is.
Even the main TGWTG reviewer behind it Angry Joe has stopped posting there, that gives you an idea just how bad it is.
HOLY SHIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Wait what does this mean
Even the main TGWTG reviewer behind it Angry Joe has stopped posting there, that gives you an idea just how bad it is.
Please tell me there is some sort of video with him trashing it. Angry, uh, Angry Joe is hilarious.
Please tell me there is some sort of video with him trashing it. Angry, uh, Angry Joe is hilarious.
Nah he just stopped posting there silently.
Wait what does this mean
Jon made some bad life choices :( [editline]1st November 2012[/editline] Jon I love you but why blistered thuuuumbsssss
I don't get it why is it bad that he is with BT?
I don't get it why is it bad that he is with BT?
Blistered thumbs is shit.
Well, for one, the site is a navigational mess. That, and, if I'm led to believe this correctly, it has the same bullshit scheduling problems that comes from having too many reviewers. It's a huge problem at TGWTG, as, and I wish I was joking, they sent out and pretty much gathered so many reviewers that no one could get a real slot to be featured other than the ones who had been there for ages. And when you don't get featured, you don't get views, and you don't get revenue. It's the same with the scam that is Machinima.
Blistered thumbs is shit.
And why is that? That's not really a proper answer.

Just because he joins some web site doesn't mean he's going to lose views or something. I guess I don't follow the logic. Why does it matter? His videos are still on youtube, they're just being linked on another website, just like normalboots.
And why is that? That's not really a proper answer.
Zeos explained it better then I could, so I direct you to his post right above yours. But I'll add something Zeos didn't say, being a spinnoff of that guy with the glasses, it has the same EXACT same type of community, the awful, awful community. The comments section is just painful to read man, and they thumbs up everything so nobody ever realizes they're making shit, and thus say shit forever, like Doug Walker.

this is going to be awesome
I'm pretty sure Blistered Thumbs is just JonTron trying to reach out to people who may not have heard of him. Hell I never knew about him until I saw his Nuts and Bolts Review.

TGWTG is bad. The "community" being completely judged by the vocal few is debatable, but why is it so bad that Jon is linking his videos there? Is this just another "I liked <name here> before he was mainstream" sort of thing or what? [editline]1st November 2012[/editline] Anyway, these guys should totally play Silent Hill 2. I would send them a copy if I wasn't so attached to mine.
I believe it turned out as bad as it did because they had to rush it for the holiday season. If they would have just waited it would have been so much better.
Don't kid yourself. That game needed a complete do-over due to the awful gameplay choices. Forget the bugs, forget the story, the game is not enjoyable in the slightest because you're just checking boxes as you move along rather than actually building momentum and moving fluidly.
It's more of an "I don't want this good internet reviewer associated with the rest of the garbage on this awful site."
He's already on reddit so [sp]It's a joke[/sp]
