Hey Ego, remember when you said Sonic Adventure was as bad as Sonic 06'?
I think the boss fight with silver is kinda obvious. From what I could see you run around then wait till he throws objects at you with his powers. You hit those objects, they hit him, he's stunned, you hit, repeat.
It could have been fun if it was like the one from Generations. That game showed how much fun character fights in sonic games can be-- all you need to do is have the fights take place in motion. You know. Going fast.
They did that with Sonic Advance 2.
It was terrible and awkward, but mostly because in Generations, Sonic's aerial momentum is aided by the Homing Attack and aren't extremely awkward in the aerial physics; Advance 2 had you trying to jump up to hit the bosses but suddenly changing momentum entirely, which made it a pain to hit them sometimes.
But then playing as Cream the bunny girl and using her little Chao, Cheese, completely and utterly destroys all the bosses, hilariously enough.
I wonder what fucking moron designed that bass bottle.
However I also have to say Arin and Jon are retarded as well for not seeing the simple fact that you can jump on him when he's holding the shit up in the air, ready to throw at you. Then when he's not doing that he will stunlock you right away. Though, I also know trying to talk and make entertainment live whilst playing something drastically decreases ones ability to notice things, as well as playing properly.
Hadn't it been for the controls clearly being horrendous then it would have been an easy boss to beat when you see that very obvious attack chance.
they probably cant see when he picks up other shit because the camera is terrible

Yes they can, I've never played the game, I figured this out looking at them play. Whenever the chairs and barrels are glowing neon sea-green and floating in the air you can just bash right at him. He also says something everytime he does it.
They just aren't paying any attention because they'd rather try and entertain us than actually play. Which is the cause of many a frustrating moment of grumps and invalid complaints about a game because they didn't pay attention.

i dunno man it doesnt really excuse the fact that the boss battle is poorly designed in every way
they also clearly figured that out btw but still got stun-locked if you watched closely, because he can still do that immediately after throwing furniture due to no cooldown. so there's still a very small window of opportunity for his weakness AND it's unpredictable because he doesnt take the same amount of time to hold items or sonic before throwing them every time.
It's funny, I played that game when it first came out on 360 and I never got trapped by silver's attacks.
Played it again years later at a community center, still didn't happen.
Guess i'm just ~pro~

When did I ever say it excused the boss battle being bad? I said it was bad but that Jon and Arin was just as bad.
No, they didn't figure it out at all, they never understood when they could and couldn't attack him, they just attacked him randomly and experienced it as "sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, retarded ass bossfight".
Also the opportunity isn't that small, he holds them up for a while.
maybe sonic 06 was supposed to be sonic adventure 3, but the dreamcast died too fast so then had put it in a corner and then tried to revive it on a new console. it would explain the shitty graphics.

And the Final Fantasy-esque pre rendered cutscenes.

Multiple and different storylines with different gameplay styles between them yet all tied together at intersecting points with a true final conclusion story after them all, hub towns/areas that intersect the levels together while sometimes having you do random tasks to make the next level available, and the playable characters getting new abilities or such as the game progresses that opens up new paths and such to an extent. Which game am I talking about here; Sonic Adventure or Sonic '06?
It's obvious '06 was supposed to be Adventure 3, in the successor sort of way, but its rushing fucked this up so badly that it killed that hope. Unleashed's japanese title is 'Sonic World Adventure,' but that's a bit different to a degree yet holds some of the same trappings, including the hub areas. Sonic Team's tried going back to and/or recreating the Adventure-style of progression and all, but one time was faced with poor reception and the other on extremely bi-polar/mixed reception, so it seems like they've dropped that with Colors and Generations.
For now, anyway.
I wish they did more Animal Crossing episodes.

Having played it, I can tell you that it really isn't the case. The radius on his attack is far higher than it should be, and if he hits you once you'll be against a wall and you're stun locked until dead. Add the fact that the attack has practically no cool down and it means that if you hit him it's very likely he'll hit you back, and you'll die to the stun lock.
The fight's basically down to luck due to the atrocious design.

They were planning to, but apparently Ego's fiance played on their save file and they didn't want create a continuity issue, but they also didn't want to want from scratch.
Uh why are the girl's legs super tan and her face and arms are really pale?
I thought for sure they were going to mention that.
Sonic team can't model pantyhose.

Gosh dang Susie the Goose
On the topic of Egotron and Jonraptor being bad at games, they can be REALLY bad at games at times. Seriously, I get that they're focusing on being entertaining, but they can miss alot of obvious cues, ways to go, enemy weakpoints, text on the screen telling you what to do, and it drives me up a wall. Now, these guys lives are curling around their Video Game Series; It still suprises me how BAD they are at times. And, when they're bad, they end up making complaints that wouldn't be valid if they did X right.
Don't get me wrong they're awesome Let's Players just they're not really that great at games in general

My thoughts exactly. It absolutely drives me insane when I see text on the screen saying "We better go to X to do Y!" and then 10 seconds later they're like "A HURR MAN WHERE DO WE GO? THIS GAME IS SO CONFUSING MAN" it's just UUuuGGHHHmhh
Jon and Ego have a problem regarding an absolute lack of attention span, and if they do pay attention they tend to distract each other.
Not that it makes it any worse, tho, but they really need to step up with that stuff sometimes.
Sometimes I think the should just play a game at least one of them knows how to beat, or at least play really well
Which is why Megaman X should be pretty good
oh man if ego turns out to be bad at mega man x somehow
Jon's already made a lot of colossal fuckups on BANJO KAZOOIE
the game he SWEARS is his favorite game ever
It's even worse than you think

Why don't they just get the GameCube version and start over again?
I mean, GameCube games are compatible with Wii, right?
