I am the only one who thinks this game is the most overrated game on the snes. It's decent but I seriously have not been told a single solid point why it's one of the best snes games and one of the best games ever.

I agree, the graphics are great but the levels are maze-like and kind of repetitive in my opinion.
I loved Donkey Kong Country.
Not saying it's one of those all-time greats, but holy shit it was fun.
I don't like much of anything about DK Country. I'm with Ego on this one.

I owned DKC and I have to say I really didn't like as a kid
Those mine cart levels were ridiculous, the jumps felt like they were pixel perfect & the game would freeze if you paused it for too long.
I'm not sure if you guys are talking about just the first or all 3 of them, but I much preferred DKC 2 over the first.
to me, it had some really great levels and some of the best music.
DKC 3 is my least favorite of the 3. Still good but not as good as 2 imo.
DKCR is one of my favorite platformers.
Everyone knows it's DKC2 > DKC > DKC3 > DCKR
When it's quiet, you can hear the noise gating they use I think. It's quite annoying : (

Idunno. I liked DKCR better than DKC and DKC3.
I didn't grow up with these games (had a genesis) so I only tried them all like 2 years ago, so It's probably just me.

yeah i'm with ego. i never liked it growing up. so playing it now, i really want to like it. but it's just not very fun at all.
