No way, I think the graphics are still beautiful...in certain stages.

I think the backgrounds look great, but all the players or enemies just look so out of place due to their bad animations and lack of shadows (when your background has rendered shadows, just looks odd for the character to have none)
The graphics look relatively realistic, but some of the levels just seem like a mush of dark colours.
I personally dont think that it looks very good.

There's always pauses in between games, especially since we've gotten two or so new ones these past few days. We'll probably see another Sonic 06 later this week.

It was the first game to use models I think, at least pre-rendered ones, turned into sprites. The art style did had to suffer for this though.

The game is fucking retarded long, so in all likelihood they won't complete it. Thus, I suggest in advance to seek the definitive LP of it done by a bunch of goons in one sitting should that occur.

You can also jump over the barrel in the first minecart level and fall into a warp barrel down there. It was more obvious in the GBA remake with a camera down there.

I think it looks good. It especially looks good for it's time, which is a given since it was ground-breaking graphically.

All the old emotes are still hosted. Just take the URL of one of the current ones and replace the relevant parts of the URL.

Resident Evil 2 also has the edge not only for the points you stated but the fact it has an actual total of 4 different play throughs. Such as 1st scenario Leon's story or Claire's depending on which disk you played first, then after beating the game you got to play the other side, ie: Claire's side of Leon's story and vise versa.
Claire in fact was a replacement character for Eliza Walker. The first version of RE2 was roughly 40% complete when RE1's director quit then Capcom decided to scrap the game and start new. That version was dubbed Resident Evil 1.5

I thought the cemetery was cool. In fact, I liked most of the additions/changes made in the REmake. That said, the addition of Lisa Trevor is a bit jarring, especially since they established that she was the source of the G-Virus (I believe), but that said Resident Evil loves to retcon all the fucking time. I'm not sure why you wouldn't consider REmake old school, it still features many of the same game mechanics and principles as the games before it.
That said, if a team is trying to re-release Resident Evil 1.5, that would be awesome. I always thought it looked really good. The Police Station in 1.5 looks more creepy and definitely feels more like a Police Station from what little we've seen of 1.5. But you know that Capcom is going to prevent it from being released if it ever gets close to completion, mark my words.
I hope they play/release more REmake today.
