Continuing on the added stuff, if I recall right Lisa Trevor was the first experiment to use the Nemesis parasite injected with the T-Virus, she bonded with it (kinda) and mutated out of control pretty much becoming unkillable, like Nemesis himself. That stuff adds to the story an explanation to Nemesis and the G-Virus which in my book is always welcome. Alright, lets just call it a dash of old school with a cup of reinvisioning, hmm? And on 1.5, I'd like to see Capcom try and stop the 1.5 release. The fact that it's so closed to the public at the moment kinda keeps it away from prying eyes and I don't think Capcom really cares if "some loose knit group of hackers/programers" completes it. Capcom gave up on it and disregarded the years worth of pleas to just finish it and release it as a non canon game to the series. (Gun-Survivor 2: Code Veronica much?) Besides, it's gonna be free so who cares? And ditto, moar REmake today please.

Is Ego really complaining about how RE4's story didn't feature the T-Virus and such? The whole point of the third game is to show that everything revolving around Raccoon city and the Umbrella corporation was over, with Code Veronica (God I hate that game, everything about it is just... dumb. Dumb puzzles, dumb characters, dumb story) to show that they did more work behind the scenes around the world, building a bridge to future titles. So no Ego, RE4 wasn't the game that fucked up the story.

Resident Evil 4 did fuck up the story, or rather it fucked up the direction it was going in. Don't get me wrong, I love the game to death, it's probably one of my top 5 games of all time; but you cannot deny that it feels like they pretty much wiped the slate clean when it came to all the story and elements they had established in the games prior.
