the reason most people like it is because of nostalgia, it isn't that great of a game. It's fun but its not as good as everyone says it is.

Played it as a kid, liked it. Played it now, still like it.
It's a solid beat em up.
lol@people trying to prove an opinion wrong. also they have a pretty big dislike amount already just because of an opinion, it just shows how easily people get butthurt over somebody disliking their favorite game. youtube comments are rich.

Because Beat-Em-Ups aren't all that fun or interesting really.
Battletoads is only somewhat fun to play because of it's aesthetics.
I guess it's all a matter of taste.
I've found that EVERYONE has atleast ONE genre of game that they simply dislike.
For me, it's racing games.
Not stuff like Mario Kart or Modnation, I mean stuff like Forza or Gran Turismo.
Dunno why, simply dislike it.
My favorite Beat 'Em Up will always be Streets of Rage. One of my favorite Genesis games.

It's solid, theres no denying that. It's one of my favorite SNES games, but it's favored way to much by retro gamers.

Not really, Battletoads is very annoying if you are playing two players and single player is a hell.
There is alot of great beat-em-ups out there like the X men one, the Simpsons arcade and the best one for me: Dungeons and dragons: shadow over mystara.
Watching the Grumps play DKC made me play it again. Today I finally beat it for the first time.
aww I wanted them to try out the mic-close-to-crt thing just so we could see Arin was wrong (atleast on youtube)

keep in mind they record most of the episodes of one series in one night so he's still reacting to something that, to him, is ten minutes old, but to us it's a week or so old
