Why are they just so "WOAH THIS IS WHAT SKYWARD SWORD SHOULD'VE BEEN", the reason it's so one-to-one is because that is literally all your input. Like, skyward sword was iffy, but that's because it had to deal with... well, y'know

I never could get into classic sonic games because it was all about keeping momentum and I couldnt do that
there was always something that brings you to a fucking stop and when you're not going fast, the platforming feels clunky and awful
at least, that's how I remember it, its been a couple years since I tried playing an old sonic game

idk the only time I've seen Skyward Sword was when my mates were playing the introductionary place.
maybe the reason Jon feels it is so much more 1:1 is because in Skyward you have arms and animations which do have to take priority alongside your input
in the minigame you don't even have arms for Christ sake. a lot of those "one to one" movements would look like they snapped Link's arm or wrist in Skyward Sword, so the input had to be clamped

Also, I had a conversation about the Grumps with a friend and he goes:
"I like the how one is actually talented and the other is just an unfunny try-hard hack who's just there."
He wouldn't clarify that statement. I assumed he meant Ego is the talented one and Jon is the try-hard hack.
I don't think Jon is a hack, though. :(
