Jon's still got a long way to go. He's still really young in his career, so I think that once he hits his stride, he could be something really special.
It's still unfair to just write him off as a hack, though, especially since my friend hasn't even seen any of Jon's reviews.

Like OK Ocarina of Time was the shit when I was younger, right? I'm still willing to admit that it hasn't aged well. The graphics have aged poorly, the storytelling is bland and very basic, really the only thing that has aged well is the sword fighting, and the gamecube version of Twilight Princess improved upon it in almost every aspect. I don't even like Twilight Princess at all but I'm willing to admit that it did just about everything better from a purely objective standpoint.

there's a difference between someone just plainly stating that they don't like a game than arguing that it's mediocre
ego doesn't like a game, okay, that doesn't mean everyone else has to dislike it either, mediocre or otherwise.
twilight princess did a lot of things mediocrely though the wolf segments were complete shit IMO
it isn't about ego being right or wrong, hell, I disagree with him on some points, but it's the fact that my friend was willing to put up with ego till the moment he said something my friend liked was bad

also TP's story was awful compared to OOT, even if ocarina's story was the most basic of basic hero princess bad guy stories

E: I'm surprised seeing disagrees, honestly. From what I can see, Jon is the one that carries the show. He's actually funny and his game-related opinions aren't shit like Ego's.
All Ego has is, well, uh.

Sometimes Ego tries to make a joke and it backfires horribly and so he starts laughing at it to try to make it seem like it was funny and he keeps going with it and ugh. Probably because Ego is a bit of a sperg. Like it one of the early episodes (I think) he starts making baby noises ("goo goo ga ga") but it wasn't funny, not even Jon laughs. So Ego starts laughing and keeps doing it BUT IT ISN'T FUNNY
Either way I like 'em both. I don't see Jon as a hack but Ego is by no means better.

Like, the accepted "best" LP of this game by a bunch of SA users was about half an hour per part, and it took a good [I]forty seven videos[/I] to actually beat it.
