It's really the exact same system as before just on a new layout meant to tie Youtube's design in with every other google page. Can't say I like it but I'll get used to it pretty fast, not like it stops me from watching what I want, and the clean UI on the youtube player is nice.

it keeps resetting my front page whenever i change that option though

which is because it doesnt actually change your front page, it just brings you to a subscription page, and then an uploads only page. specifically /subscriptions/u/.

which is dumb. and retarded. and dumb. and dumb. and RETARDED

so basically you can't have your subscriptions' uploads only on your front page. you have to manually go there every time or have a youtube bookmark specifically to that url.

Correct. I always access youtube through my bookmark so that's not a problem for me at least. But yeah, it's dumb.

yeah i know but i liked the main page before how it would show me comments and stuff to do with my subscriptions but now it does all that and suggest videos for me to watch. my subs doesn't have all that other stuff i like on the main page.

What I like about the new Youtube layout is that it makes me uncomfortable for the exact opposite reason other websites usually makes me uncomfortable.

It's too clean.

But I'm already getting quite used to it, I'm sure I'll actually start liking it already within a weeks time, max.

No, the previous few layouts were fairly shit, clearly optimised for phones, but they still worked okay on a desktop. The current design uses less than half my screen, everything is bunched up into the corner and the 'design' is so bland everything just blends together. It doesn't help that the moved stuff to retarded locations, removed features, make it harder to find the content you want, and force you to view reccommended videos and videos your subscribed channels favourited.

The previous youtube layouts were ugly and a waste of space, this one is broken.

This please, I got the frontpage to show uploads only(by doing the slow way of setting "Only show uploads from *" on every single subscription I have) but I can't find a way to disable this shit.
