I normally dont much care for Lets Plays but I'm enjoying this. I think its cause both of them have an existence outside of 'we play games and talk' and they discuss interesting things about comedy and animation and game design stuff.

If you're viewing something on a tv there's usually an external source that you can hook a capture device up to. How do you hook a capture device up to an arcade machine?

If it's an original dedicated cabinet there would be way too much DIY involved to expect them to do that. If it's an emulator powered cabinet, then they probably wouldn't be using a cabinet anyway.
Either way it's kind of unrealistic to expect them to get their hands on an arcade machine, isn't it?

If you buy them on eBay, sure, but there's lots of places/conventions where people sell them for as low as ~$200 (£127).
besides the point of the duo not getting an arcade game just for the playthrough and recording issues, they are more of the sitting type and wouldn't cut down an arcade machine to couch level.
They can buy a Neo-Geo and play arcade games with that.
