The difference is that jontron and egoraptor made rape jokes in like, two videos. and one of those the joke was censored.
It's because they actually make a JOKE instead of going "LET ME RAPE YOU AHHHHHHHHHUAHUAUHAHAAAAA YOU BITCH". And they hardly ever do it.
pewdiepie isn't funny, it's not humor. running up to a small statue and saying "LET ME RAPE YOU" in amnesia isn't funny. Making jokes and having perfectly timed observational humor is.

No, they're just funny. They don't have much intelligent discussions on Gamegrumps at all.
If anything most of their discussions, when they have one are dumb and are about things they missed out on a game and just makes them look like stupid cunts that's never played a game before. When they aren't just making immature jokes and brain farts their discussions are about innacurate and often judgemental things or things you never needed to know.
It's a Let's Play, stop sugar coating it into something beyond what it is and just admit you like dumb humor.

That would be incredibly stupid. It's a Let's Play, it exists to make jokes whilst playing games, they just go into it and try to be funny, end of.

Um. They do have intelligent discussions, maybe not super formal, but they sincerely discuss and IMO, intelligently. I don't think many other "Let's Play"s do that, but I don't watch much other than GG.

superjail and ren and stimpy are prime examples of insane amounts of animation, without doing the same thing twice.
occasionally ren and stimpy use the same intro animation twice, but they never do the same face twice when animating a new bit.
these guys really just aren't funny at all imo

i would say they do have plenty of intelligent discussion. if you really watch you can see a lot of analysis and discussions of games spread out among series. also, their humor is mostly saying shit ironically, and w/ them both being intelligent is delivered incredibly well. honestly i think game grumps is more than a lets play because its not about the game. the games are the context to them interacting with each other for a show, which suits them especially well because id say theyre pretty experienced youtube entertainers on their own and their chemistry makes them great together. game grumps could really be a show about them doing pretty much anything and it would be good, but its about them playing games.
I think they suggested playing Go! (A board game), before one of them said it was on Xbox, they were talking about physically playing. Sounded like a cool idea for like a 5 minute short.

I didn't notice that you called them intelligent people really, the no was towards treating stupid humor ironically. Yes they do ironically make fun of some jokes at times, but they sure use a lot of their ironic humor a lot, to the point where it isn't really ironically using it, just using it. Like gosh darn and dangit, yes, they only use it in Gamegrumps and yes it usually has a sarcastic or ironic undertone to it, but they use it so much and often it's not really ironic anymore, it's just part of Gamegrumps humor.

I watch every episode they put out, the amount of intelligente discussions is near null. Most of the analysis or discussions about games in their shows is as I said, complaints brought up about shit they didn't pay attention to. Most of that analysis and game discussion was also in the early grumps, back in the first Kirby series and Megaman, nowadays it's just telling stories or making sounds and jokes.
Gamegrumps is very much a Let's Play, two dudes playing games and talking over it and putting it out on the internet. That's a Let's Play.
