That episode didn't feel "right" for some reason
it didnt feel genuine. it didnt feel like it was their choice to play the game
it feels like they grudgingly accepted payment to play it

I think that's the likeliest scenario. The grumps' channel doesn't seem to be needing much help, given they are doing well on each video, but perhaps TGS is doing a promotion for like triple CPM on a deadspace 3 video. Machinima does that for us occasionally. NFS MW was one a while ago that they did double CPM for.
At least, it's just a demo.
They'll be back with more good grumpy episodes afterwards.
But I agree that this isn't their type of game. And it isn't Game Grumps. They are about two friends (three with Barry) playing fun, weird games and having a hell of a time, while giving us entertainment.
This felt like a generic LP video. The passion of Grumps wasn't there.
I'm certain Arin was tickled the wrong way when he saw that controller image.
If they get paid by devs, at least get paid for playing original and creative games.
But there might be redemption today if they release a new episode since this was a really early upload.

it really doesn't seem like a game they'd pick for game grumps.
I thought it was a good episode, they tackled the whole "mention this shit to promote our game" in a good way, by mocking it and making it into a fun segment whilst still giving it the emphasis like the Dead Space advertisment guys obviously wanted.
They didn't try to like the game and mocked it several times, Jon stating his love for the previous titles were unlikely false and he had some problems with this one showing that they don't try to blindly praise or like the game and just show it for what it was.
They started off a bit forced doing some (as Jon commented on himself) PewDiePie quality forced screaming, but became normal Game Grumps after a while.
I much prefer they don't do promotional shit at all, but I don't think it was bad, and I had some good laughs in the episode.
the first bird sounds were hysterical it is just a shame the episode had a weird and bad vibe
Yeah I mean I loved the episode, it was hilarious, it was just kind of something that came out of nowhere and was a bit off. I also wonder why they chose to upload it at such a weird time...

I think they mocked the fact that they were paid to promote the game with the birds. They sounded way more sarcastic than forced.
I didn't like that sponsored episode. But, like the subscribe bar in one of the Yoshi videos, I hope this is just an experiment.
I'm also not going to yell SELLOUTS over one single sponsored episode, although I can see this going the same way JonTron's "Top 10 Overrated Games" did.

The point where the monster or shit runs up to them from the fog, they whey they were scared really sounded.. Fake.
But still it i like the episode, its GG after all
I'm like ten minutes in to the Dead Space one and it is pretty funny. It's obvious that this was a sponsored thing, but they're still being the grumps and very openly mocking the game in every aspect.
They didn't give me the impression that they were saying "This is like RE4" or "This is like Uncharted" in a good way because of how they were laughing when they said it.
That episode was terrible. I hope they don't do that again.
I don't like it because I feel like it's something they wouldn't do, seeing their views on video games and such.
I feel like they're doing the very thing they hate.

I dunno, I think it's alright. I mean, it's obvious that it's sponsored, but they weren't pretending to like it.
I remember Jon mentioned in one of his own videos a while ago that he really likes Dead Space so that didn't bother me much.
So long as they don't play Tameem May Cry and say they like it I'm cool with it.
that was the first episode I didnt really watch completely. aside from the criticism already mentioned, I didnt like how forced their randomness felt. like those da da daa dabadaa moments from arin

I love how they gave them DS3 to play coop, but didn't realize they play in the same room.

God even that thumbnail looks retarded. They better not pull this shit again. If they do, then they've gone down the path of everyone else.
